Liberalism is the disease of spending money on things that have no value, such as 75% of Government workers.

Studies to fund policy...there is no end to the waste.

There is an entire class of academics, bureaucrats and crony businesses that drink the same taxpayer-funded bathwater...

Cloward-Piven example #23,343

In Reality there was no study - at least in a manner reflecting how I was trained to do such studies.

First question - where was the control group? They claim a relatively small number of deaths nation wide but where is the study on a like group who never had a highly sugared drink in their lives?

Second question - what is the threshold for calling a drink “highly sugared”? What parts per million?

Third question - what was the duration of the study?

There a many other questions that should be asked to establish the validity of this “study”!

IMHO, this study like so many other “studies” consisted of someone reading a bunch of other studies and making unsupported conclusions based on the frequency of a minor data packet, if that. i also find it interesting that this “study” was released after the court system struck down Bloomberg’s ban on larger sodas.

Important safety note: Before consuming sugary drinks, it is important to remember to consume only the drink, not its container. Some 25,000 Americans a year are dieing because they attempted to swallow a sugary drink can, bottle, or box, and subsequently choked.

What about AUTOMOBILES?... and ALCOHOL?.. and..

Oh, that's right... NOBODY leaves here ALIVE, so SOMETHING is going to END each and every life.

My point: Enjoy your life and disregard the many, many STUDIES.

The study adds to mounting evidence that sugar-sweetened beverages, loaded with calories that carry little nutritional value, are a public health hazard.

"We know that sugar-sweetened beverages are linked to obesity, and that a large number of deaths are caused by obesity-related diseases. But until now, nobody had really put these pieces together," said Gitanjali Singh, a postdoctoral research fellow

Gah! These so-called "doctors" are dumb as a box of rocks. Most beverages are sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup, NOT cane sugar.

I have it from a good source that ANYONE that drank Whole Vitamin D milk during the War of 1812 died.

100% of people born before 1812 who consumed carrots died.

Control freaks with an agenda just make this crap up.
