Berlin police helicopter collision caught on film Two helicopters operated by the German federal police collide in snowy conditions while conducting a training exercise close to Berlin's Olympic stadium, leaving at least one person dead.
1:41PM GMT 21 Mar 2013 German authorities said two helicopters crashed near Berlin's Olympic Stadium during a federal police exercise on Thursday.
One of the helicopter pilots died at the scene, fire service spokesman Stephan Fleischer said.
Five people were injured, four of them seriously, he said.
It wasn't immediately clear whether the injured people were in the helicopters, Mr Fleischer said. He didn't have details on how the accident happened.
The two helicopters apparently clipped each other and crashed as they landed in a snowstorm near the Olympic Stadium.

Nothing to see but it was an interesting sound.
They were trying to land three helicopters in a stadium. Snow on the ground whipped up into a white out and two of them collided.
Whoever decided to have them land there is at fault. IMHO
Does it look like spring?
Yup! Looks like “globull” warming, er, climate change is firmly in place in Berlin. Prayers to the families. Was in Berlin in ‘62. The west was gorgeous. Crossed into the east for a tour. Not so beautiful. Still had remnants from WW II scattered on the ground. Very few private vehicles and just a general air of depression. Gotta love communism.
Effects from Global Warming.
May the dead pilot RIP.

I thought that seeing the flying parts was pretty interesting. Especially the guy luckily limping away with only some minor injury.
Didn’t see any nazi artifacts in mowtown. Maybe now there are. LOL!
There are damn few artifacts of Nazism on display in West Germany during the 1970’s. Germany is an incredibly pleasant and orderly place, it is hard to understand how they could have let mad men run their country.

Me too. It’s why I watched it three times. :-)
Sounds like main rotors meshing. Gotta wonder why they were operating in white out conditions, and multi-ship at that.

Yeah? What’s our excuse?
