Jennifer Genuardi is a seemingly endangered species: a primary care doctor in an impoverished New York neighborhood.
When she takes the subway from the upper East Side and steps out into Hunts Point, she emerges as one of just two physicians working fulltime at the Bella Vista Health Center and thus just one of two in the entire, high-poverty 10474 zip code (pop.: 12,281).

The only purpose of Obamacare is to provide well-paying jobs for Eric Holder’s people, no matter how unqualified and incompetent, just like the post office and the public “education” system.
Gee, healthcare for all.
What fatuous, moronic...
Fact--primary care docs will be replaced with nurse practitioners and physicians' assistants. What we NEED are specialists for these replacement "doctors" to refer the patients for specialized treatments and surgeries.
Liberals romanticize family practitioners almost as much as they romanticize abortionists.
study no difficult subjects, let alone any class with a lab...
why work weekends, holidays, all summers without frequent Thanksgiving and Christmas and spring "breaks".....
never get fired...
as Barbie says "doctoring is hard"....so become teachers...
The Model for Obama”care” actual service is the same as the current Medical attention being given to our wounded Military returning from Afghanistan. Last I read, most wait 230 days to be treated.
Steven Crowder speaks the truth about the Canadian healthcare system. This will be similar to what we will see here and probably worse.

" Right, kick ass. Well, don't want to sound like a dick or nothin', but, ah... it says on your chart that you're ---ed up. Ah, you talk like a fag, and your s---'s all retarded. What I'd do, is just like... like... you know, like, you know what I mean, like..."

This is all such a joke. Be prepared to wait in line to see these, too.
I’m in NP school now. I had to beg, borrow and steal to find my own clinical rotation sites. Here’s a secret ...we have to find our own, and it’s very difficult, and the experiences we get are extremely varied and uneven in quality. And it just amazes me ...we want NP’s to be taken seriously, yet we won’t train them seriously ...(but that’s another subject).
After graduation, many positions are advertised for EXPERIENCED NP’s only ...new grads need not apply . . . except for maybe a retail type position. Very few places want to train new grads ..they want ya to hit the ground “runnin!”
So, unless I’m wrong somehow, zillions of NP’s are not being trained for this projected need. Not everyone can get into grad school for nursing, and many cannot afford to quit work as an RN to go back to school. Not to mention, once 2015 comes around, every NP is going to be required to get a Doctorate degree, requiring more money and time to get the degree.
So, all of those who perhaps had some small desire to get the NP degree will now avoid it. Most nurses can earn equal to what NP’s make just by taking ICU travel or night shifts.
That leaves the current crop of “experienced” NP’s, most of whom are getting ready to retire, much like many of the experienced RN’s out there.
Yep, just like the con errrrrr man said.
if I never had to see one in my life time I would count my blessings, all they do is write side effect riddled RX’s and won’t fix a thing. The partial tear of the rotator cuff was ignored as not being to bad, now it is a full blown tear...to small to fix, but just as painful as a large tear. Don’t get me started on those who should never have been called Doctors. A doc who makes a D is still called by the same title as the Doc that made A’s. DOCTOR and you don’t know the difference.

Already happening. I can’t remember the last time my MIL saw a real doctor.
Go apply at an emergency room for the best training. They generally train all the green-as- grass grad PAs and NPs, who get jobs in the ER,, make a lot of dangerous mistakes, have a few kids on the hospitals insurance and their maternity leave, get pretty good and as soon as you’re useful for the ER get hired at a nice quiet specialty clinic and leave for the hospital to start over with a whiny new grad. A regular fertility ward...
More than 50% of the Federale Gov't is a jobs program for distressed minorities and females. Hired under affirmative action guidelines. This is how the Federales are today. It was not this bad 10-20-30- years ago
