The consistent theme of progressives is abuse of a crisis. They need a crisis to move public opinion on a wave of emotion. It is anti-rational. It’s manipulative and what they do in government schools to our kids every day.

‘Powerful’ - The AR-15 .223 is probably one of the least ‘powerful’ rifles made. Its a small round, It is high velocity - but all rifle rounds with FMJ are ‘high velocity’. So when they say ‘powerful’ its just a scare tactic.
‘No civilian use’ - tell that a farmer with a coyote problem. Another lie. These are very versatile rifles.

Who cares what he used to kill those kids. The fact that he did it is the problem. It would be nothing to create a massacre using weapons other than guns and have a much higher mortality rate. Throw a grill guard on an SUV and a full tank of gas and you could take out several times the number that idiot did in Sandy Hook.
I’d also like to know where the media outrage was when the Government killed 22 children at Waco.
To be fair, alt, none of the autopsy reports have been released for the massacre, and most of the evidence has been sealed. It may be years before we know how this all truly went down.
I Googled “Newtown autopsy reports” and read the first page worth of articles. In none of those articles will you find the caliber bullets found in any of the victims nor a discussion of the size of the entry/exit wounds. They’ve not given any specifics on this case. Sure, the ME does the usual, “I’ve never seen anything this gruesome in my XX years on the job,” but he never provides hard numbers.
At this point, regardless of your beliefs or suspicions, there are no facts anywhere in the media as to the weapons used to commit this crime.
