GLOBE ^

Posted on 03/31/2013 4:39:58 PM PDT by SandRat

It’s official! Queen Elizabeth is keeping her promise to make Prince William the next King now that his wife Kate is pregnant – with twins. Only the new GLOBE reveals when the Queen will make the blockbuster announcement public and how the decision has devastated evil Camilla, who has plotted to get her husband, Prince Charles, the Throne.

Oh, no. The Globe! The bane of grocery checkouts everywhere.

My 89 year old mother will come home from the store tomorrow and tell me Prince William is King. She still wonders why George cheated on Laura with Condoleezza.

“Queen does not get to decide.”

If she outlives Charles she does.

Is this an early April Fool’s joke? Or is already April 1st over there?

I love it when people read a thread then take the time to write, “who cares.” Nobody cares if you don’t care.

Charles is next in line by law.

Of course, if Charles dies before Elizabeth, that could change the line of sucession (to Andrew?).

Yep. (Or, as they would say in London, it’s 01/04.)

No. Even if Charles was killed in a car accident tomorrow morning, then his eldest son, William, is next in line for the throne. The monarch doesn’t get to choose the successor, it’s established by law.

No Andrew would not follow Charles if he were to croak. His Son William would follow, then William’s children then Andrews and his girls in the order of their birth....Poor Princess Royal is beneath her brothers as of now.

Very true, but how would anyone know a person doesn’t care unless you tell them you don’t care? LOL

No, the eldest son of the eldest son inherits, not the brother of the eldest son. If Charles died before Elizabeth, then William is the heir. If Charles and William were killed in the same car accident, then Prince Harry would be the next heir. If he died without issue, then Andrew becomes the heir, and then after him his eldest daughter, etc.

If the queen has nothing to do with it then why hasn’t Charles been crowned yet?
