Yep, and the reason he attacked is because Truman made a statement that sounded as if the US wouldn't protect SK as per our agreement with them. I’ll have to post MacAuthors’ reaction when ordered by Truman to defend Korea. The short version is that he could not believe it, since Truman only months earlier had stated the US had no interest in Korea. It is pretty funny what he told his staff after getting the order.
