Big brother is certainly expanding the scope of their tracking of information on all of us.

Your first post is done just fine, and newsworthy enough that it deserves a place in the Front Page News sidebar.

“Big brother is certainly expanding the scope of their tracking of information on all of us.”

I seriously doubt if they'll bother our guests from south of the border getting refunds for nonexistent children.

We are officially a socialist nation, but it has taken a lot of imbecilic politicians, jurists and other assorted sycophants to get the job done.

This is not black magic, rather it has happened right before our eyes. We can only hope and pray that a savior will come up with a stop to this insanity that takes our system of elections and uses it to hang us!

The gargantuan IRS can now use profiling in order to enforce an evil confiscation system, but it is not permissible to halt terrorism using profiling.

Take this country back from evil regimes that would relegate America to the scrap pile of history. In order to accomplish this it would take a gigantic incinerator to reduce to ashes ever piece of worthless and/or harmful legislation passed into law since 1913.

“Big brother is certainly expanding the scope of their tracking of information on all of us.”

Went in to buy a fishing license yesterday at Walmart. They refused to sell me one because I wouldn’t give them my unlisted home phone number. I showed my drivers license, as requested.

So, according to NYS I must have a phone in order to buy a fishing license. “Screw that”, I said and walked out.

The IRS uses acts in a clearly un-American way - we must prove we are innocent to them, or in other words, we are guilty unless proven otherwise.

If Bush were the president, the so-called civil liberties groups would be all over it. Fascism. Big Brother.

There’s a communist in the White House, and they’re all silent.

The only way to get on the good side of these fascists is to be someone who votes for a living instead of someone who works for a living.

No surprise here. We already live in a fascist dictatorship. No news there.

Keep your Internet footprint as small as possible.

I don’t twitter or FB, since I don’t have the need to tell everyone I am in the Starbucks restroom doing a #2.

I also have never trusted eBay nor Craigslist.

I do some online purchasing but it is impossible not to. It might be possible to link my purchases to my income level, but they are pretty normal (not that I approve of Big Brother looking over my shoulder).

The Moral: STAY AS ANONYMOUS AS POSSIBLE ON THE INTERWEBZ!

Lots of computing power, for what? The agency's computers can now load all U.S. tax returns in just 10 hours, compared with the four months it took just eight years ago, Jeff Butler, IRS director of research databases told the IBM TechAmerica conference last November. That leaves a lot of time for other uses. The IRS says it expects 80 percent of its tax returns to be filed electronically this year. That makes a total of 250 million returns filed, with $2 trillion in revenue.

All the more reason to file your return on paper instead of electronically. Force them to expend their labor forces processing paper. I always make a minor mistake in calculation - in their favor of course. This forces them to manually reprocess the return.

If all of us were to do this at tax time the gestapo wouldn't have time for these shenanigans.

Maybe the IRS will see the Supreme Court's official clarification of Congress's limited power to lay taxes when it spies on Free Republic members.
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." --Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

This sure sounds like a direct attack on the 4th Amendment about privacy.

No cheat here. I’m poor, facing foreclosure, and unashamed of that fact. My finances are an open book for anyone who wants to know. I’ll be sending these SOBs $800 - and that’s just for the business. Don’t have a clue how I’ll pay my personal taxes this year.

An interesting thought on all this...do they know what to do with the data? Do they know how to ‘mine’ it? I am not so sure.

A huge scam that the IRS knows about and seems unable to stop is the bogus filing by prison inmates that results in their getting millions of dollars back in ‘refunds’. A few get caught. But the scam is so lucrative and the odds of getting caught are apparently low enough that it is worth the risk. And so what if a couple years are added to their sentance? No big deal. The IRS has not been able to stop this.

That all being said, the IRS has no business snooping into my business, nor anyone elses business with out cause, supportable by a judge issued search warrant. Just go to hell, IRS. Police your own first. And make sure all those non-filing Treasury and IRS people file...then do your audits on those returns.

Obama is filing with a bogus Social Security Number? Go after him.

The IRS is just another evil tool of foreign bankers who control the FED and our entire banking system.

Wow! Our government knows:

If I own a gun and how much ammo I have.
If I buy benedryl.
When I see the doctor and what it’s for.
How much money I make.
How much I pay on my house.
Whether or not I run a red light.
(In some states) how far I drive/what roads I use.

But the border is a lost cause. Can’t close it. Just complete defeat when it comes to securing the border....
