HAGATNA, Guam ---- Almost 100 U.S army personnel will deploy to Guam in coming weeks as the Pentagon moves one of its missile defense systems designed to knock down hostile targets in the upper atmosphere.

P!
Bump
NOW we’ll see if that island tips over!!!
For some reason I don’t believe the Norks can hit a target with one of their missiles.
1.2 tons would seem to be plenty of lift for a modern nuclear weapon
But the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs each weighed two tons.
Could they hit Japan by accident?
Maybe they don't need to. How high in the atmosphere would they need to set off a nuke, trigger an EMP and basically shut down the country's power grid, internet, navigational systems not to mention bring transportation to a screeching halt? I'm not a physicist, but is that a possibility?
Yes, and probable.....
This whole thing has gone from “funny’ to somber and serious.
Hey, if our guys tip over the Island, the missile will hit coral and do nothing. What a great idea. We have got to thank that Ahole Democrat who suggested it.
We can’t keep thinking of conventional means of delivery or attack. 19 jihadists brought havoc and mayhem to our land through unconventional means and the norks have greater creativity than Al Qaeda. Just a human-delivered dirty bomb detonated in Seoul or Tokyo could throw the world economy into another tailspin, and with it, the immediate surrender of our “leadership”.

nukes got smaller.
not quite down the nuclear hand grenade where squad could really make good use of them, but close.
Understood.
I’m just not sure what the Norks are capable of.
If North Korea goes to full war, you can bet dollars to donughts that they would first set off an EMP over the Korean Penninsula. If they have developed one. They could shield most everything during the blast and at any rate, they seem to do fine without much electricity.
Too bad there’s not a technology to return missiles to sender as in a boomerang steer effect.
Wouldn’t it be better to just fill up all the empty pads again?
100 miles. The EMP effect could cover about 2/3rds of the country.
Nope your not. This battle plan has been thought our kicked around altered and updated for the last 60 years.
Triad is a really good word to remember. Nuclear weapons launched by ground based solid fueled missiles as in Minute Man III’s, air delivered weapons as in nuclear cruise missiles from our heavy bombers or nuclear bombs from a carrier based aircraft, and missiles with nuclear warheads launched from our subs. Taking out the Internet in Guam with a nuclear weapon will trigger a nuclear hell for North Korea.
Hey, baby kim, F you!!!!!!!
