"I rarely am presented with a dog that has been bitten by a beaver that I can save. Beavers go for the jugular and carotids and are successful more times than not when they go after a dog."Reply to original earlier thread...the other day, a little young raccoon went walking across my lawn/driveway in the middle of the morning...raccoon teeth are probably not as lethal as beaver teeth, but if you see any of these animals out in broad daylight, STAY AWAY!!
And keep your dogs in, too...even trained dogs....because even non-rabid large "rodents" will fight back if chased (possums, etc.)...take no chances!
