There. That seems to be more understandable.

The GOP is Done! America is Done! For further information just listen to the daily news. Washington folks only listen to their DC newscasts - who cares what the actual country thinks. Bought and paid for several times over!

0bamaCare has already killed the health care system, or will in short order, as well as the economy. This Toomey-Manchin compromise is something else altogether. It will gut the BoRs.

I read that the NRA had filed lawsuits in NY challenging the recent gun laws passed there, and I believe they were filing another lawsuit in Maryland.

The NRA's strategy of pragmatically supporting anyone who claims to support the Second Amendment has failed.
There are 68 traitors in the Senate who have no right to hold their seats, having refused to abide their oath of office. The question is no whether the the Republican voters, NRA members, and American people are loyal enough to the Constitution to vote this SEDITIOUS MAJORITY out.

Yes it will — I appreciate your posts that lay it out so clearly.
But the destruction of confidentiality inherent in the bill will be another nail in the coffin of our health care system... a particularly sore spot since I enjoyed the benefits of health care done right today. I am in mourning at the wanton destruction occurring daily by the wild beasts in DC.
Well, bedtime for me. Thanks again, glad to be here with like minded people. Well — for as long as this site is allowed to exist...horrid thought! :(

I got a call from them a little while back. They started with how they supported smaller Government, and I cut in with "Why in the hell did you fund Obamacare, then? You could have blocked it."
They went straight to the "Thank You for your time..."
I hung up.

I think the NRA just learned they have absolutely no clout in DC anymore.Let's look at that. How did the oldest civil rights organization in the country become persona non grata?
The media have been waging war on the NRA, painting the NRA and members as "extremists", "kooks", and even worse, "Unfeeling".
If y'all want to play along with the demonization of the NRA, the inevitable result will be that the organization will take the abandonment of members and donors as a sign that people believe what the media has said, and will moderate its stance in order to survive. The organization lives on donations and memberships, too.
Now is the time when every membership check, every donation, every communication with the NRA should carry a message of NO COMPROMISE from the people, just as every communication with Congress should.
You can bet your bottom dollar the "great organizer" has his community of Communists, useful idiots, the MSM, and fellow travelers out there doing the full court press for their ultimate wet dream--disarming the American people.
There are a lot of keyboard commandos who spout nonsense from their fingertips about WW III, CW II, or even another American Revolution, but won't take the time to and effort to even e-mail their Congress critters.
If that shoe fits, pull yer frigging head out and get after it using every peaceful means at your disposal to turn the tide of public opinion, including posting to websites, letters to Congress, letters to the editor, supporting the Gun Rights organization of your choice--and not wasting time cutting the others down.
Screw worrying about being on a list, you already are.
There are a lot of people out there who are ticked off at this crap but who are feeling isolated and alone in that. Don't let us all get Alinsky'd.
IF we can't stop this before things get ugly, they'll get real ugly, and they won't be pretty ever again in my lifetime.
And if you won't bother to write a letter or make a call now, then I know you won't have my back if the SHTF.

But oh, we need this bill to honor the memory of those Newtown kids.If that's the case, fund a plaque, and dump the rest of the bill.

I don’t want the NRA to send a form letter. I want wayne and chris to personally call those the NRA endorsed and tell them that if they vote for ANY gun control laws, that the NRA and their membership will literally do everything they can to destroy their political careers.
