Haha.

First I’d heard of this. Go NRA!

Wow, that’s smart. I know of no NASCAR fans anywhere at all who own guns or are NRA members. /s

NASCAR now joins baseball, basketball and football in the dead American sports category.

ESPN said that sources confirmed to the outlet that two drivers have been advised by their PR people not to conduct interviews in the Texas Motor Speedway media center in order to avoid the NRA logo from appearing behind them.

Stupid is as stupid does.

Apparently, whoever told those NASCAR drivers not to do interviews in the MC doesn't understand NASCAR's audience. Most race fans are conservatives who go to church and like to hunt, among other things.

This was just dumb!

This should probably motivate a lot of the drivers to make sure they DO the interviews in front of the NRA logo.

Was it NASCAR or ESPN that told the drivers?

A lot, not all, of the “media” types are referring to this race yesterday as the Texas 500. This is shoddy, incorrect reporting. The race yesterday was the NRA 500. The Texas 500 will be run at TMS on November 3rd. Believe it or not, Yahoo.com sports got it right.

This kind of nonsense gets NASCAR into trouble all the time, simply because of the sheer number of sponsors involved in that spectacle.

A typical scenario involves a driver sponsored by Coca-Cola winning a race like the Pepsi 400. Watch the gyrations that NASCAR, networks, drivers and team owners go through during the post-race interview in competing attempts to shove these sponsors' logos in front of the television audience.

I’d be repainting my car with nothing but NRA logos and not charge them a dime.

Watched the race on FOX, noticed the lack of NRA mentions all the way around.
No tinfoil needed on this, it was bleeding obvious.
Want to see how this shakes out, but pretty damn disappointed in all involved right now.

There is no longer a news media in this country. No mention of the NRA at a race that bears their name; no coverage of Gosnell’s House of Horrors; no coverage of the failire of Benghazi. Endless coverage of Trayvon and Newtown. All Pravda, all the time.

NRA defends Constitution’s 2nd Amendment

ACLU (founded by communists) attacks & weakens the Constitution

So ACLU is praised and NRA is demonized.

Truly we are in the end times...
