The federal Liberals officially named Justin Trudeau their new leader Sunday. He won the support of about 80 per cent of Liberals who voted.
Trudeau, 41, secured an overwhelming first-ballot victory, 45 years to the month after his father took the same position.

Canada Ping!
That's all you need to know.
Canada needs this guy like we need another gun registry.
Because that worked out so well for them the first time!
I lived the horrible Trudeau years in Canada. Moved here and am now witnessing the destruction of this great nation by another socialist.
Have they de-collectivised the healthcare system in the Great White North yet?
Liberals elect son of Nazi-turned-Communist as party leader, film at 11.
Yup - Trudeau ruined this country. Hopefully this buffoon of a son will not ever become Prime Minister. I don’t, however, have much faith in Canadians.
I had to look this guy up. Looks like he wants to carry on his father’s legacy.
From the wiki:

Trudeau is the eldest son of Margaret Trudeau and former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.
“Canada is an unfinished project”, he told Quebecers in French during his acceptance speech to the party, “let Quebecers work together to build it again.”[2]
A pretty boy substitute drama teacher who was baptized and immersed at an early age in neo-marxism,socialism,statism, whatever they call it now.
Just like the USA is suffering a cult of personality/national hysteria so will Canada with this empty headed pop icon. Lil Justin could repeat nursery rhymes on the campaign trial and the dominant media would still collectively cream their pants and call him brilliant.
Politics`s equivalent of Justin Beiber .
“Has Canada Undergone a Big Shift to the Right?”
Let’s hope the answer to this question is “YES!”.

Is he Pierre’s son?
Is a democracy or a republic that repeatedly elects the offspring of former representatives and leaders for no reason other than blood relationship really any different than a monarchy?
A person is qualified to lead because his father was king is different than a person elected because his father was prime minister / senator / president?
My conclusion is that most people want to be ruled rather than represented. Explaining why our republic is in the toilet.
Sad news. Not surprising but still sad.
I remember when Trudeau’s wife left him to party with rockers in New york city. I wondered why so few condemned her, but one of my Canadian friends, a strict Catholic mother of six, told me why.
None of those rumors got into the press, and of course she lost child custody to him....her inability to cope is now blamed on “bipolar disorder” but she essentially became a druggie from the stress.
put it this way: I wonder if the kids were abused by his “friends”....
Yep.
I’ve said it many times before, and I’ll say it again. As long as the most significant voting block in Canada continues to be women of my Mother’s generation, who still brew a fondue in their panties at the very MENTION of the word “Trudeau”, Justin is well on his way to his next coronation.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my Mother dearly, but “Trudeau” is a magic word to her and all her female friends.
