Marco Rubio, Steve King Square Off On Whether Boston Bombs Should Refocus Immigration Debate
Fox Latino ^ | April 16, 2013 | Elizabeth Llorente

Posted on 04/16/2013 8:32:58 PM PDT by Red Steel

Rep. Steve King, one of the most vocal proponents in Congress for strict immigration enforcement, called on his colleagues to slow down on moving ahead with plans to overhaul the system in the aftermath of the Boston bombing.

In an interview with The National Review, a conservative publication, King, a Republican from Iowa, said the reports that investigators were talking to a Saudi college student should prompt lawmakers to put a greater national security focus on immigration reform.

The effort by King, as well as some conservative groups, to tie the bombing to immigration drew a rebuke by his fellow Republican, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, who is playing a key role in putting together a reform measure.

Rubio is part of a bipartisan group in the U.S. Senate that had been set to hold a press conference Tuesday morning to unveil a sweeping immigration reform bill. The unveiling has been pushed back to Wednesday because of the explosions during the Boston Marathon that killed three and injured nearly 180. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., met with President Obama on Tuesday afternoon to discuss the bill.

“Some of the speculation that has come out is that yes, it was a foreign national and, speculating here, that it was potentially a person on a student visa,” King said. “If that’s the case, then we need to take a look at the big picture.”

“We need to be ever vigilant,” said King, who was vice chairman of the House Subcommittee on Immigration. “We need to go far deeper into our border crossings. . . . We need to take a look at the visa-waiver program and wonder what we’re doing. If we can’t background-check people that are coming from Saudi Arabia, how do we think

Yeah the little government stooge/prick Ryan was so smart he did not even manage to deliver his home state to that great Conservative Candidate and 2 time loser Mittens! Hell PR was so smart he was trashed on TeeVee by that great debater/statesman Joe Biden! Forget the RNC/GOP they have their eyes on a new shiny malleable citizen.

It’s not that the American people “won’t forget”; they are so malinformed that they “never knew”.

Ryan in the “DEBATE” seemed too afraid to step out on principles though I at first thought he had prevailed. He followed the path of his mentor, Jack French Kemp, “debating” “my freind Al Gore.” Ryan was told by Romney not to embarrass the aging Biden; it would look “disrespectful”.

Here's what Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) tweeted regarding Paul Ryan and the rally they're attending together:

“This is not Rep. Ryan’s first time in Chicago but it is his first time at a pro-immigrant event in our pro-immigrant city. Let’s show Rep. Ryan – an influential voice among House Republicans – the enthusiasm and strength of Chicago’s pro-immigrant community, and in so doing impress upon him that by standing with immigrants he’s standing on the right side of history.”

Thanks, Paul.

About Paul Ryan.....
I KNOW it seems simplistic, but I’m telling you all that the same handful of people OWN all these politicians...Ryan, Rubio, Romney, all like mined, amnesty lovers GROOMED by LOBBYISTS...CESAR CONDA & GROVER Norquist, who serve the interests of the LEFT.

FYI...SEE...WHO IS CESAR CONDA?
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3007546/posts

And about Ryan/Conda
[snip]Creature of Washington

Professionally, Ryan is a creature of Washington insider politics.

He got his first taste of congressional politics as a college intern for U.S. Sen. Bob Kasten of Wisconsin.

The work was not glamorous, often sorting and delivering mail.

“He was as earnest, polite and enthusiastic,” said his friend and mentor, Cesar Conda, who eventually provided a crucial link between Romney and Ryan.

Conda brought Ryan back as an intern the next year.

“He would always pop his head in the door and ask questions about what Senator Kasten was doing,” Conda recalled. “I just gave him two books to read and said, ‘This will get you started.’”

The books were “The Way the World Works,” by Jude Wanniski, and “Wealth and Poverty” by George Gilder, which became the bible for Reagan-era economic policy.

Conda offered Ryan his first paid, full-time job working for Kasten after his graduation in 1992 from Miami University of Ohio, where Ryan double-majored in economics and political science.

PS...Conda was a policy advisor to Romney, too! We were set up LONG ago.
Somehow, we have to give the RNC a message! Please consider changing your voter registration to non affiliated.

Thanks for the Ryan/Conda connection. The question is: Who is this Conda tool NOT connected to?

FWIW, I've sent every single piece of RNC mail back with "Remove my name from your register. I am NO LONGER a Republican! Get your $$ from the DNC!"

They'll probably sale my info for more spam :(

“The question is: Who is this Conda tool NOT connected to?”

Well, he and Grover are connected to everyone in the GOP with any power. They run cpac and the ACU, and many other ‘conservative’ outfits.

Wow...an imported ‘latino’ and a muslim loving lobbyist in charge of our futures...ain’t it great???

In this article, from 2004, Conda is trying to convince you the Bush amnesty wasn’t amnesty either!

Do you happen to have a link to that poster, Jane Long?

Some of us were talking yesterday that the term RINO has lost it's meaning. We thought 'Turd Blossom Republicans' might be more appropriate. Paul Ryan is a TURD BLOSSOM REPUBLICAN.

For those who don’t know, Bush had a nickname for Karl Rove , ‘turdblossom’. Rove and Norquist really took Bush for a ride. They were at the root of everything he did wrong.

I say we hijack that name...’turd-blossom Republican’ for the race baiting Condas, Roves, Norquists, Rubios, McCains of the world. I think it could catch on. Somehow we have to rid ‘conservatism’ of these people who are identified by the media as being representative of ‘conservatives’. Turd Blossom Republicans. I like it.

Go for it Steve---you're on target.

They "say" the bulk of border-crossers are Mexican----but we know Mexico is the staging area for all of the Third World freeloaders---that includes global terrorists bent on destroying America.

Terrorists from Mideast countries are entering the US from Mexico......

The Mexican border has become the staging area for (1) global terrorists (ark-skinned Mideasterners who pass for Mexicans), (2) the criminal latino uderworld, (3) Third World lowlifes, (4) drug cartels, (5) impoverished latinos hoping to win the "border lottery" in the US and the like. T

The word is out---"come to Mexico to infiltrate the US. It's open season to conduct your dirty deeds. And US politicans are looking the other way."

THINGS AMNESTY SUCK-UPS IN CONGRESS DO NOT WANT YOU TO KNOW:

NY POST---Mexican cartels deep inside US - spreading into non-border states

CHICAGO (AP) — Mexican drug cartels whose operatives once rarely ventured beyond the US border are dispatching some of their most trusted agents to live and work deep inside the United States — an emboldened presence that experts believe is meant to tighten their grip on the world's most lucrative narcotics market and maximize profits. If left unchecked, authorities say, the cartels' move into the American interior could render the syndicates harder than ever to dislodge and pave the way for them to expand into other criminal enterprises such as prostitution, kidnapping-and-extortion rackets and money laundering.

Some cartels even have Mexican operatives fill out job applications before being dispatched to the US, Riley added. In Mexico, the cartels are known for a staggering number of killings — more than 50,000, according to one tally. Beheadings are sometimes a signature. So far, cartels don't appear to be directly responsible for large numbers of slayings in the United States, though the Texas Department of Public Safety reported 22 killings and five kidnappings in Texas at the hands of Mexican cartels from 2010 through mid- 2011. Still, police worry that increased cartel activity could fuel heightened violence.--SNIP--

In Chicago, the police commander who oversees narcotics investigations, James O'Grady, said street-gang disputes over turf account for most of the city's uptick in murders last year, when slayings topped 500 for the first time since 2008. Riley's assessment is stark: He argues that the cartels should be seen as an underlying cause of Chicago's disturbingly high murder rate. "They are the puppeteers," he said. "Maybe the shooter didn't know and maybe the victim didn't know that. But if you follow it down the line, the cartels are ultimately responsible." (NY POST EXCERPT)

Viscious Mexican gangs and drug cartels are said to operate freely across the border in Austin---the Texas state capital---right under the noses of the pols. Read on.

EDITED Zeta hit man details killings on both sides of border mySA.com | January 24, 2012 | Jason Buch / FR Posted by SwinneySwitch

LAREDO, TEXAS — A hit man for the Zetas Mexican drug cartel calmly related to jurors in a drug conspiracy trial---to his role as a hired killer.

In US District Court. Rosalio Reta pointed to Gerardo Castillo Chavez, 25, and identified him as a fellow Zeta. Reta, 22, told jurors that he had been in a team of hit men headed by Gabriel Cardona, an admitted Zeta, who has pleaded guilty to five murders that occurred in Texas 2005-06.

Reta said he was the triggerman in the murder of Moises Garcia, a Mexican Mafia prison gang member, in Dec 2005.

Reta, a U.S. citizen, received national media attention after the teenager was deported from Mexico in 2006 at age 17. He's known for his distinctive facial tattoos and boasts that he became a killer when he was 13 years old.

Prosecutors say Castillo Chavez was also a sicario, or hit man, in a crew that worked with Cardona's group, gunning down two people at a busy Laredo, Texas intersection in April 2006.

He faces up to life in prison if convicted on firearms and racketeering charges and wide-ranging drug conspiracy charges; prosecutors presented evidence of a decade's worth of Zeta operations in Texas.

Reta said that he fled to Mexico after two murders in Texas, for which he's now serving 70 years in prison, and worked with Castillo Chavez.” In May 2006, Reta testified, a team of killers was dispatched to El Punto Vivo, a nightclub in a suburb of Monterrey, Mexico.

“Hitmen Chema and Chavezs went into the bar,” Reta said. “They shot, they threw some grenades and they killed four people.”

Afterward, the hit squad went to a convenience store for snacks and drinks. Prosecutors played security video showing Reta and three others making purchases.

Jurors also heard Laredo police detective Robert Garcia testify that he linked the sicarios using phone records.

The big break came when an insider---a DEA informant---was tasked by the Zetas with renting a safe house for Cardona's crew. Garcia said he worked with the feds to thwart the Zetas' attempted hits and to gather evidence.

Defense attorneys questioned Reta as to why someone who had shown great care to hideout after killings in the U.S. would so brazenly hang out at a convenience store, even microwave popcorn, after committing a high-profile killing in Mexico.

“In Mexico, the cartels run everything,” Reta replied. “So it doesn't matter if you get caught on video. We are the law over there.

Rosalio Reta.

During their 2012 national convention, Democrats arrogantly flaunted US immigration laws and blatantly ignored the majority of Americans' sentiments towards illegal immigration. The Democrats featured an illegal immigrant as a speaker on September 5: "...Activist Benita Veliz was given a prime-time speaking slot..."

That's right, an illegal immigrant activist shilling for Democrats.....Veliz spoke of the "opportunities" accorded her as an illegal, opportunities which could of been extended to actual U.S. citizens, but she might just have been prevaricating about her supposed heart-warming story.

According to CNSNews.com: ... In her speech, Veliz claimed to be "from San Antonio, Texas,” saying that she was "like so many Americans." "My name is Benita Veliz and I'm from San Antonio, Texas. Like so many Americans, of all races and backgrounds, I was brought here as a child," Veliz said. "I've been here ever since." However, her profile on the activist website dreamactivist.org reveals that she came to the United States from Mexico at age 8 on a tourist visa and that her family then illegally overstayed.....

According to the LA Times: ... In 2009, she allegedly rolled through a stop sign and was stopped by a police officer. Veliz had a Mexican consular card but no driver's license. She was booked in jail overnight, and the police contacted immigration authorities. That started deportation proceedings against her. .

....but she's still here, breaking laws and riding the US gravy train......

Hmmmm..... guess she will have to use one of her other identities-----one that has no criminal record. Each identity sucking up mucho US tax dollars, UI checks, welfare checks, disability checks, EITC refunds, etc etc etc. Wonder how much money little Benita is laundering--- and wiring back to secret Mexican bank accounts?

NEED TO KNOW Did she get in-state tuition? Did her parents (or other illegals) falsely declare them on federal apps to get $$$thousands in EITC refunds----maybe falsely stating their "kids" (existent and non-existent) were back home across the border? DID SHE AND HER PARENTS SWINDLE THE US GOVT? DID THEY OBTAIN FRAUDULENT MORTGAGES? MORTGAGES THAT DEVSTATED THE US ECONOMY? THAT US TAXPAYERS WERE FORCED TO BAILOUT?
