I don’t think this issue is dead. Note Dingy voted no. Had he voted yes to bring it to the floor and had it been defeated it could not again be brought up this session. Barky virtually guaranteed he will push for another vote in his diatrob yesterday. So, we won the first battle, hopefully we continue and win the second one with a majority vote.

What he just witnessed was congress looking into the past and seeing the fate of politicians who voted for the Clintoon ban. He's right, it doesn't make sense... and the rogue variable that is derailing the equation is his 90% lie. The same can be said for many of the Conservatives in DC.
It's funny how the Liberals have NO compunction or difficulty in shedding relics of Liberalism... (maybe that is because Liberalism is ITSELF a relic) I don't know, but they turn their backs on conventional politics and conventional politicians instantaneously when and if it becomes expedient for them.
Why do Conservatives have this hide bound attachment to weak, vulnerable and vacillating politicians, JUST because they were ONCE representative of Conservatives.... way back when we only had to run against Liberals who at LEAST made a pretense of loving this country?? Why don't Conservatives step into the 21’st century and admit that their base is NO LONGER dowdy old-school Conservatives.

I agree, his supporters (athletic as he is a real dick?) will never veer off their adolation. What I was trying to address is how those in Congress view him. If they did not know before they were serving under a Capt Qwig type character, they surely know it now. By showing his fangs yesterday he proved to them he is a viper capable of biting anyone who does not agree with him on every issue. We will see if this had any affect when the immigration bill comes up for vote later. If they vote with their constituants views and legal precedent, they will vote against the IWON. If that happens, he is toast and may just explode into a 22nd amendment tantrum.

Obama has approved of both by ignoring gang/youth violence, condoning (by doing nothing) F&F, and approving of the killing of babies .... mustn't "punish" girls/women with babies if they made a 'mistake'. Guns, bombs, etc. don't [on their own] kill kids, but EVIL does and right now, the national face of EVIL is Obama.
No, the Senators decided that the garbage being proposed wouldn’t have prevented Sandy Hook, Denver Theater, or Arizona parking lot shootings. So then there must have been another reason to try to pass these laws.
