Lemme guess. It has a large ghetto crowd on welfare, lots of govt employees, etc? Typical democrat paradise?
Thereby, Philadelphia is broke.
That;s chicken feed. The largest state in the nation is totally bankrupt, even after “we” voted for higher taxes.
The majority of blue states and cities are in financial trouble, while red ones are OK. Why don’t people get it.
Here’s a cure. Remove the vote from residents of any individual or municipality that declares bankruptcy. If you can’t keep your own affairs in order you shouldn’t get a vote on how to control the affairs of the nation.
Another Dimocrat run city down the drain. All big cities are run by the Rats and are down the drain financially. Go figure.
They are arguing and opining on exactly what new taxes, fees and extortion they can exact on its worthwhile net-taxpaying citizens so they don’t have to fight with the losers so prevalently abundant there. The children will be used as the excuse to do every frigging bit of extortion, taxation and pants frisking they’re gonna come up with.
As far as I’m concerned, my only hope is that no Federal intervention is given.
Why dont they just raise taxes again?
The problem lasted much longer than Nutter.
However, Nutter went down to DC to get Philadelphia’s shares of the Stimulus from Obama.
Without ‘that money’ this news would have been out much sooner.
So it looks like a nutter city is going down...I expect a lot of that in the future.
I worked in NYC starting in the mid 70’s. And the last 10 years, I used Philly as my “hub” for my east coast sales trips.
With out reservation I can say this : Today’s Philly exceeds the 70’s NYC when it comes to a broken city. Those working (that should be italicized) at PHL are the most rude, indifferent and lazy bastards I’ve seen in the US.
In short, they need a “Rudy” to right this city.
Would you like to guess which demographic is the highest percentage of population?
Willful ignorance.
If my name was Nutter, the first thing I’d do is change it.
Interesting. I think there's a lot of merit to this.
Within 6 years there wouldn't be a single demonrat in elected office.
Lots of cities large and small are bankrupt if you count those running huge deficits with every intent of letting the taxpayers pick up the tab at some point. Just yesterday I read about Flint Michigan wanting to pay some $2 million for a hydrogen powered bus. And in Jackson Michigan they want a walking trail they can’t afford to go with the riverfront plaza that taxpayers couldn’t afford.
Keep eating piggies.
Can hell go bankrupt?
Can a sewer be controlled by a trustee?
