Fremont, self-proclaimed "Center of the Universe," is the venue for America's largest statue honoring Lenin.
No, not one of the Beatles, but Vladimir Illych Lenin, hero of the workers, Communism, and the former Soviet Union.
The 16-foot-tall tall bronze originated in Poprad, Czechoslovakia, where it was first erected in 1988. It tumbled along with other heroic (and out of fashion) statues when the Soviets went down in 1989. For a time, the seven-ton Lenin lay face down in the mud at the Poprad dump -- until rescued by American entrepreneur Lewis Carpenter. Carpenter, who admired the artistry, mortgaged his house to buy and transport the statue to Seattle.
Carpenter died in a car accident in 1994. To recover the statue debt, Carpenter's family arranged to loan it to the Fremont district until a buyer emerged. Asking price: $150,000. In 1995, Fremont put the statue up in the center of town, near a Cold War era rocket also displayed as public art.
The statue was controversial and remains so, especially to Russian immigrants. It's as if someone erected a sculpture of a Klansman in the deep South (wait -- someone has), or Chinese Communists sold tickets for a look at Tibetan temples outside Disney World (oh yeah, that too...). Or someone slapped up a statue of Mark David Chapman, assassin of John Lennon, in Strawberry Fields (not so far).

If you asked 100 Democrats, “who did more harm to the world—Vladimir Lenin or George W. Bush?” probably 4 out of 5 would answer without hesitation “Bush.” Of course you’d have to exclude the ones who had never heard of Lenin.
The statue should be saved-—Tyrants should not be forgotten least their deeds be repeated by future tyrants. i would add a plaque—tell of their evils (murder of the Czars family—and other atrocities. Hitler should have a state as well but he would need a really large base to hold the plaques that list all of his crimes against mankind. Let us never forget the horrors these human monsters did.
I find the statue offensive, but then I have relatives who came to this country from what is now the Ukraine.
Famous people referred to this country as the 47 united states and the soviet of Washington for good reason.
Someone needs to knock it over and knock its block off—just like Saddam Hussein’s in Iraq.

The phrases “Day Care” and “Rule of Law” when used by (mostly liberal) polticians or MSM have bothered me for quite a while now, e.g. Zero’s proposal of “free” day care for 4-year-olds or any RINO’s statist comments. You hit the nail right on the head for me as to why. Thanks!

Their goals were started in earnest with John Dewey destroying our school’s education system. He threw out Classical Education-—(the McGuffey Readers)—the books which instilled Virtue, taught Biblical concepts of Good and Evil which all Classical literature did. They elevated the Virtue in human beings, focused children on Excellence (Virtue)
—which as Aristotle knew, has to be habituated in young children-—otherwise, they will have no “Virtue”.
Dewey was an atheist/pragmatist-—Fabian Socialist who embedded “moral relativism” into the curricula-—to destroy the concept of Good and Evil in the next generations......it took awhile before they could do it without parent’s noticing the evil curricula——and there has always been a few who could “see” the evil-—but the media (and perceptions) have always been controlled by Marxists since 1910......so they could “shape” perceptions and steer them.
Now, they are blatant and the brainwashed “parents” no longer can see the “evil” of teaching a five year old to take “pride” in anal sex-—which will totally kill off Judeo-Christian Ethics, when those children grow up .
Postmodernists/Marxists had ONE goal-—to kill off the Judeo-Christian God—because then they could make anything “Good”-—even slavery and sodomy.
They are almost done with their hundred year plan.
Most people are just dupes-—stupid....their whole life has been wasted on trivial “things” with no reflection on philosophy (true knowledge)-—the greatest ideas ever thought (which includes Christian Theology)-—so they do not understand what their ideas “do” to a culture because they are ignorant of child development-—since indoctrination has made women “feel” good about killing their own genetic offspring and normalizing “strangers” are the true teachers of their children.
Parents are the ones who are the first teachers-—and good parents NEVER allow the indoctrination and control over the minds of their vulnerable kids by the State. As John Stuart Mills stated-—the government will only make slaves for the state if they control curricula and schooling....they will indoctrinate-—never “educate”.
I think they need to keep this statue. It does however, need to be moved. I am sure that Freemont has public washrooms near a park. This statue should be hoisted on top of such public lavatories. Anyone who has ever desperately searched for a public lavy, will recognize that steadfast stride and determined look on V. I.’s face and immediately will know where to go!
The local commies love to come to the throne and bow down to their leader and founder of the faith. Seattle is commie and muzzie lovers, period!! I lived behind enemy lines there for 15 years. As soon as my wife could retire, I walked away from a plus $55 grand job and we came home. Money could not keep me there. Now, we are happily retired down home in Alabama.
I think they need to keep this statue...

During his revolutionary days Lenin used to publish pamphlets with instructions for throwing acid into the faces of police. Not somebody I would care to erect a statue to.

The control of children is the control of the ideology of the future. Lenin knew this—Wundt knew this. Pavlov was Lenin’s buddy for part of his life. Lenin created the “no-fault divorce” and forced mothers in the workplace so they could be controlled by the State.
The US did it in the 70’s because of the Communist Friedan who led the “feminist” group to destroy the family unit so children will be emotional cripples—easily addicted and confused and insecure.
Education is essential to Free Republics and our children have been “brainwashed” since John Dewey destroyed American Education in 1930. It is why half of our population is irrational—they can’t use Reason. Most people thought the way I do, prior to mass indoctrination. (I am a result of Catholic Classical education—not brainwashing).
Marxism is always faulty because all basic assumptions are incorrect (a Big Lie)-—Children’s foundational “knowledge” is twisted, warped, wrong and the “public” schools embed this into their minds using Pavlovian methodology. (Humiliation if they “think” outside the allowed “box”). They get humiliated if they think it is not “right” for Johnny to marry Richard-—since they “love” each other. Note, to want to sodomize someone is NOT “love”.
These small kids are made to “feel” bad if they disagree with the authority figure and peer pressure is used to induce the “correct” emotions-—good for sodomy. Group pressure will be directed by the teacher (change agents) who are taught how to literally “change” the attitudes of children. They can erase Christian Ethics and the curricula is designed to program children to “think” Christians are bigots, evil and hateful, when they have the most rational, brilliant religion in the history of mankind since it gives freedom and dignity to every individual.
It is how they have managed to completely control the “homosexual” marriage debate-—this insane “Right to sodomize others” which is always promoting Vice-—and “Just Laws” can never promote Vice- according to US Constitutional philosophy (Natural Law Theory).
We have Marxist judges (no individual rights—just collective “rights”) who have been educated in the public “school” system of indoctrination to destroy Logic and rule by emotions/base urges.
As Cicero stated: “The Wise are instructed by Reason, average minds by experience, the stupid by necessity and the brute by instinct.”
Brownshirts/Bolsheviks were all brutes. Marxism/Socialism/Fascism/Progressivism is all rule by urges/emotions. There never is Truth and Reason, so there can be no Wisdom.
