Is it now racist to call Juan Williams by his given name? Apparently so, according to liberals like radio talk show host and Fox contributor Geraldo Rivera and MSNBC's Chris Matthews, who seem to have acquired the gift of determining racism simply by the way a person's name is spoken.
Rivera was "analyzing" Newt Gingrich's response to Juan Williams' question at last Monday night's Fox News debate.
"When you listen to the way Newt Gingrich says Juan William’s first name, he says it like it’s a racial epithet, I swear to God, that’s my impression," Rivera said.
He then played Williams' question followed by Gingrich's response.

Actually, that was Gingrich being filled with utter disdain for the question Williams posed to him.

In answer to your question, Dems are race-obsessed. It is in their party’s DNA. They are the party of slave-economics, lynch mobs, fire hoses, race repression, and in modern times they continue to be obsessed with the subject.
If you are race obsessed, then there is a party for you and its the DNC. Because they are obsessed with it, because it is the center of their universe, they think everyone is like them. Its impossible for them to conceive of a world in which character and philosophy matter and race does not.

As I am reading this, WABC airs a promo for Geraldo’s radio show with Geraldo saying you can’t say “illegal alien” because it’s racist.
