HARVEY, Ill., April 22 (UPI) -- Mustapha Farrakhan, son of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, is an Illinois police officer who hasn't worked in four years, the Chicago Sun-Times said.
Farrakhan, 52, is a part-time police officer in the Chicago suburb of Harvey, with a badge, an unmarked and city-owned police car and a license to carry a weapon but has not worked a shift in four years, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Monday.
Harvey Police Chief Denard Eaves declined to answer questions regarding the employment of Farrakhan, who the Nation of Islam calls its "Supreme Captain" of its security detail and potential successor to his father, saying only in a statement, "Officer Farrakhan assists the Police Department with community relations in its quest to strengthen ties between police and the community."

He gets a free car, but doesn’t work?
Or, doesn’t work (go to a job) but is a part-time “police officer” who doesn’t ever show up at a police station, but collects a part-time salary anyway?
Or is he a part-time police officer - who gets a car full-time (and gas?) (and repairs and servicing and car washes and insurance and a gas mileage allowance?) but only shows up on a city timesheet - like those 250+ Dept Vet Affairs bureaucrats in Washington who are union officers, and who don’t work for the federal government at all?
Harvey, IL is perhaps the most corrupt city in the Chicago suburbs. A few years ago most of the police force was indicted for providing protection for local drug dealers.

That is an apt image. May I ask you a question about it? Did the Gestapo have a special insignia, & therefore did not display the swastika, or are these officers’ swastikas just not visible in this pic? Thank you in advance.
Second question. Is that Himmler?
That’s Himmler (in glasses). The photo is of poor quality. The swastika is presented on the winged emblems shown on the shoulder patches, and their caps. The photo shows Himmler and members of the “SS” as identified by the “totenkopf” (death’s head) symbol above the visors of their caps. “State security” headed by doughy bureaucrats, given the power of life and death over the entire population. What. Could. Go. Wrong.
Thank you! When I first saw your photo, I was thinking ‘Nazis’. But then I kept wondering, ‘where’s the swastika?’. It’s chilling to realize that they actually wore ‘death’s head’ symbols. Yikes!
I just finished doing some fairly extensive reading on Stalin & his main secret police guy, Lavrenti Beria [the quintessential ‘monster in human form’]. Sounds like I need to read up on Himmler next. Thanks again for the great explanation. You answered all my questions.
OMC! You weren’t kidding! I just looked at a close-up image of a Gestapo hat, & there it was—an actual skull & crossbones. I can’t believe it. I guess they just really, really wanted to instill fear in people, & underscore the fact that the Gestapo was all about death. Creepy.
I also saw a pic of a skull w only an upper jawbone, wearing a military helmet. Makes me wonder if Nazism wasn’t actually a death cult at heart. Hmm. More reading required.
Concentration camp guards and butchers of women and children, cloaked in the mantel of the German military. They were so hated, we wouldn't keep them as POWs, but instead turned them over to the Russians.
Thanks for the link! I read every word; it was fascinating. The Butchers may have been despised, but it sounds like they were hellacious fighters. I had no idea Hungarian forces fought w the Nazis. I may have to look further into that. Not sorry a bit that Stalin got custody of the last of the Division. Considering many of the core members had been drawn from Concentration Camp guards, it seems the least that cd be done for them.
Btw, that photo at the end of Eicke’s grave is spooky. I found this about him:
