A startling home-made video now shows the terrifying moments where Watertown residents were forced out of their homes at gunpoint as SWAT teams performed door-to-door searches as they hunted the second marathon bomber. While millions of Bostonians waited in their houses on Friday during the city-wide lockdown, the people of Watertown were faced with SWAT officers yelling at them to get out of the buildings immediately.

“voluntary” is not what I saw in the video. Like I just posted, I wouldn’t mind them searching my home for the perp only, but there is no need to treat me like a criminal.
So much for “hot pursuit”.
“We will enter and search at gunpoint and work out the lawsuits (to be paid in part by the victims) at a later date OR until we pass laws disallowing such suits.”
If a terrorist forced his way into your home he wouldn’t allow you to invite the police in - he would be holding your loved ones at gunpoint.
This whole thing is a delemma because the police know that and I guess that’s why they forced the people to exit their homes. I don’t like the way they forced them out, with their hands up, etc. It just didn’t look right.
LOLOLOLOL. Great for TV but seldom true in real life. I also want to wait for the victims to be interviewed. What I saw terrified me. There is NEVER a need to order someone out of their house for this type of search. This was ONE GUY! How many times do the police look for a gunman and DON”T search houses, removing the residents at gunpoint.
You may have missed the orders to keep your hands over their heads and that they were patted down twice. Once as they stepped off the porch and again down the street.
I have searched for bad guys. We knock on doors and talk with residents. We search the area. We do not enter buildings unless they are unsecured and only after announcing.
This was over kill and a scale that I hope never to see again.
I guess you didn't listen to any police radio traffic that day. Your opinion is inconsistent with what the police and SWAT teams themselves were reporting.
Lawsuits coming.
What I explained in my last post even I didn’t buy at first. A simple rock.. So, I picked them out. Owner tossed them in mid summer into deep weeds and under brush. One time, he didn’t come back for a half hour. When he did, he had the freak’in rock. As for the hut, hut, hut.. Looked at a youtube video once. is was an annual “going back to college party”. Cops got all dressed up and walked down the street doing exactly that. Clearly it was some type of practice. Point being, don’t tell me a good dog can’t find this guy. Looks like (at the very least) a chance to get some “practice”.
I don’t think drugs are worth the loss of life. I don’t do or have anything to do with drugs, but these SWAT raids that end up badly just for small users and sometimes on the wrong house is just plain stupid and totally unjust. I would rather spend the money on terrorism.
Police are civilians too, because they aren't in the Army.
So too goes the argument that disarming American citizens is for everyone's safety also.
So if we accept your premise, we should also accept the fact we need to scrap the 2nd Amendment and the 4th Amendment and surrender our weapons when demanded of us.
I assume you actually believe the State and it's agents are there to protect and serve us, so we should readily accept machine guns in our faces and ordered to exit our own homes with hands on our heads.
We are America no more.
Incredible that a forum for Conservatives reveals so many who willingly bow to statist tyranny and even argue for it - all in the name of safety and security of course.
That was what I was trying to say, I understand the why, but the way they they treated people was not acceptable.
If he was bleeding before he got in the boat (as all news stories claim he was) I absolutely guarantee a dog would have found him. With a blood trail to follow, even a poor dog can track him. Anybody that’s ever had to trail a poorly shot deer knows that.
You are a frigen idiot
I would have demanded to see a warrant. If they don’t have it my doors will remain locked.
“If you were only annoyed you are a better man than I.”
The elderly man, who had been in and out of prison so many times he’d lost count, was a superb carpenter. He replaced the all metal door and the frame and painted the thing to match. (I pretended not to know anything. The neighbor had gone over and propped the door back in place and he called me. The couple was trying to not get kicked out. As long as they were paying the rent and the door was fixed, I turned a blind eye. But they moved out when the legal costs got too much. Recently, a violent crimes detective contacted me to try and find them. They’re on the lam.)
Yet it was the man that has the boat, who went out to have a snoke, found bomber number 2.
Then when I viewed some of the film of how they were treating people I changed my views too. The average person will never see those you-tubes of how the people were forced out with their arms up like criminals and then patted down too!!
"Personal" video interpretation...and not real time experience. Got it.
Just curious, what did they do with those families who refused to leave their homes? Were they shot or cuffed and sent off to the internment camp?
Any reports of "preppers" making a stand? Or were those accounts suppressed by the MSM?
