For the first time in over a week, CBS covered the murder trial of abortionist Dr. Kermit Gosnell on Wednesday's CBS This Morning. But instead of a full report, as on April 15, Norah O'Donnell read a news brief that lasted just 13 seconds on the trial judge dismissing three of the murder charges against the Philadelphia physician [audio available here; video below the jump].
ABC's Good Morning America and NBC's Today on Wednesday failed to cover this noteworthy development in the case. Neither broadcast network has aired one second of reporting on the Gosnell trial on their morning and evening newscasts.

Didn’t some congress critter just send a letter to ABC, CBS and NBC asking why there was zero coverage of this killer’s trial?
I’m going to contact my area’s local news affiliates and ask them why it isn’t being covered, and also write down the sponsors of the NBC evening news tonight to contact them. The sponsors are the top dogs these days.

Okay, I left two comments at my local affiliate. Here’s one:
“Hi. I’m writing about the concern I have that I am following the Gosnell trial in Philadelphia and it is a big story everywhere except the over-the-air news broadcasters like yours and ABC World News aren’t covering it. I find that extremely troubling and believe as so many have said that it is grievous wrong that it is being ignored, apparently due to politics. I hope your station and ABC will due their duty to the public and start to cover this very important story. Thank you.”
And they wonder why they’re lost the respect of the Nation? Edward R Murrow is spinning in his grave....
They loved Jack Kevorkian. This is magnitudes more gruesome. Blood and gore sells. Where are the media pigs?
I’m surprised they provided this much coverage.
Edward Murrow was a bum anyway. Him and his stupid smears of Sen. McCarthy. Maybe he learned how to smear from his time in Moscow.
