A major loss this winter, the azalea, which was the only plant in the front yard when we bought this house in 1989, has died. This is a photo from 18 April 2010:

George in Nashville was something else. Back about 15 years ago DUI calls came in on an SUV with plates “NOSHOW” on I-24.

I recall the time George was arrested for DUI on a riding lawnmower.

Tammy Wynette had gone on tour and took all the car keys with her, so that George would be trapped at home.

He commandeered the lawn mower and drove to the nearest liquor store...
