Breaking: Federal Investigators Now Believe a Third Terrorist May Have Been Involved in Boston
Gateway Pundit ^ | April 26, 2013 | Jim Hoft

Megyn Kelly reported Friday that the bombs used in the Boston Marathon attacks had to be detonated via a ‘line of sight’ trigger mechanism. According to federal officials this could mean there was a 3rd bomber or accomplice who may have been involved in the attacks. The range of remote control parts is within at least 250 yards or less. The remote control parts are also NOT a part of Al Qaeda’s Inspire magazine instructions.

Federal investigators now believe a third terrorist could have been involved in the attacks.

For days, people have been talking drilling holes in pressure cookers. There’s no need. Just rig a wire through the steam vent.

I'd be inclined to jam the relief valve closed and drill a separate, smaller hole just wide enough for a thin insulated wire.

But, on second thought, that's probably a premature optimization. Given the time scale of an explosion, a small leak in the pressure vessel probably makes negligible difference in the physics.

I don’t know anything about bombs but I use a pressure canner, and if wiring is needed it could be strung through the petcock - a pressure release valve built into the pressure canner.

Just tap a thread in the hole through the petcock ...and screw in a spark plug from a model airplane/car engine.

Yes, line of sight. We don’t know what transmitters were used. but there are frequencies that are better for use in an area with a lot of obstructions.

If you can see your bomb, you can set it off when there are the most people/runners near it.

You could see the bomb well from above...a few floors up. And probably also avoid appearing in any surveillance cameras, which wouldn’t be directed above street level.

You are correct; I had it backwards. But no substantive comment from you about the radio technologies?

Yes, I wondered about a woman accomplice, especially after seeing the “Terrorista” vanity plate on the car of one of their friends who we saw being arrested. Also, on the picture of the terrorist brothers rounding a corner after both blasts, the older brother was lagging behind, apparently in the company of two women. One looked black. Is this the picture you are referring to?

Did the detonator just float away on a balloon ride ... a five yellow helium balloon ride? Watch the videos following the second explosion.

Usually when you beat the crazies, you usually know because they HATE your guts forever.

I’ve made plenty of enemies that way. There was a time I was proud of that fact, not so much anymore. It’s just a reminder that I’ve been wasting my time.

Our politicians are trying really hard to make it even easier for foreigners to come here to go to school, work, etc. Seems that is what we are going to do about it.

My daughters received VA benefits when they went to college. Each month the school had to verify that they were still enrolled in order for them to receive their benefits. If the government can track students using VA benefits for school, then they could track foreign students to see if they are where they are supposed to be. They certainly could, why don’t they?

I wonder why the FBI wasn’t given the 48 hours they are allowed.

Probably for the same reason the FBI wasn't allowed to go to Benghazi until evidence was destroyed and trails had gone cold.

Yes I’ve been reading about this rewrite of training manuals in many agencies and it is absolutely frightening. We handle one (extremely violoent/dangerous) “religious” group with kid gloves and others are written in to be suspected first (Tea Party, Christians, etc), and to actually have FBI, DHS, etc training manuals written that way. -— That is like something the Nazis would have done.

lol, no kidding! What an utter waste of time, effort and energy! I see so clearly now that nothing will penetrate their bubble of insanity. Guess that’s why it’s become far easier to laugh vs engage.

We are talking about the same thing, just 2 sides of the coin. The rot you talk about leads to the behavior I talk about.

As far as the advertising/support goes. having sat in on many editorial meetings in multiple locations where some variation of “We have the monopoly on this/where else do they go?” comes out of editor/publisher mouths, there is nothing to disagree about. It happens daily.

I do not think we expect perfection. But when thousands of regular people on sites like this ask the most basic 5W questions daily (who what when where why) and the conservative media skimps on or glosses over them at best, they can do better.

Can anyone explain why they are not asking the questions we ask? And they are professionals?

Sure some do. but then things just go poof and no one rides the horse to the finish line.

I too have experience with the Saudis, I taught many of them English as private High School students in the USA, and also gotr to know their families.

In the summer very few of the students returned to Saud. Many went to the Washington DC area in Maryland and Virginia. The boys spend a lot of their time on weekends especuially learning how to gun fight at all day long paint ball venues.

Like you I found them creepy and at times untrustworthy. I found them hateful to a person, when talking about Jews
or Israel. The men and boys have love/hate relationships with the opposite sex. The more they love a woman, the more they can hate her. Very weird and dysfunctional. Contrary to many, I regard them as barely civilized.Neither their culture or their history impress me at all.The only thing they have of interest is their poetry, but then that can be very weird too.

If one wants to understand Saudis, read their poetry translated into English.I would be deeply suspicious of the Al Harabi found at the Marathon Bombing. How did he burn his hands?
