Senator Marco Rubio, the leading Republican behind the Gang of Eight comprehensive immigration reform proposal, has often challenged those who criticize the bill to come up with ways to improve it. And not just his fellow lawmakers; Rubio has opened a new page on his Senate website asking for help from the public. “Visit our website and submit your ideas to ‘Help Us Improve the Bill,’” says an announcement from Rubio’s office Friday. “Since the immigration legislation was introduced, Rubio has received over 1,100 suggestions for how to improve the bill. Rubio encourages the public to continue reviewing the bill and sharing their ideas on ways to make the bill better when the time comes to amend the legislation.”

Rubio is helping keep Democrats in power forever. Bad enough having Dems goose-stepping around the Capitol-----but even Dems will have to pucker up, and kneel in obeisance, to the corrupt Third World. The iron grip on the US caused by amnesty will inflict incalcuable horrors on the US.

By 2008, Castro had already compiled a record of criminal arrests in two states and had lied in court about voter registration fraud inside his own Bronx apartment. And that was before the Dominican Republic native got elected to state office.

Bronx Democratic Party leaders anointed Castro in the to fill a spot on the Democratic primary ballot for the 86th Assembly District. Castro was a former staff member for State Sen. Adriano Espaillat, A Dominican Republic native, and the party bosses were eager to elect a young Dominican politician in the South Bronx, where the Dominican population was growing rapidly. "We knew Nelson had had some legal troubles before, but no one had any idea at first how bad they were," said one leader who participated in Castro's selection.

EXCERPT---Voter fraud was one of ex-Bronx Assemblyman, and Dominican Republic native, Nelson Castro’s tricks for gaining political power. Castro schemed to illegally register dozens of voters in his district who voted to send him to Albany. (NOTE: registering at Castro's adress means they were already register at theor own address. How many times did they vote?) Castro also forged signatures on petitions to earlier seek office as a district leader.

Those revelations are spelled out in a deal Castro signed April 2 in which federal prosecutors agreed not to prosecute those crimes in return for wearing a wire in a probe of his political colleagues.

Castro agreed to resign from the state Assembly, while Bronx prosecutors agreed to drop state perjury charges for lying about the number of people registered to vote from his one-bedroom apartment. Castro got wired and taped cooperation Assemblyman Eric Stevenson promising to introduce legislation for shady businessmen who wanted to open adult day care centers.

Why?

For the large part, the longer termed Republicans (e.g., Senators) supremely enjoy their status; they enjoy the power (even that second-tier power that Obama and the liberals MUST give them to keep their sheepish appeasement); and they covet the parties, the galas and the Sunday interviews on TV and favorable print stories about them.

To be a conservative there puts them in the personna non grata on all that. They become DC pariahs. They’d rather appease and equivocate and then go back to their districts and outright effing lie and dissemble. They structure their opposition to the administration and liberals so they can vote FOR some amendment that doesn’t matter and vote against a later bill, so they can go back home and lie about one or the other - the kicker being the outcome, usually against conservatives by the vote they overlook when talking back home. Never a more unctuous group of lying bastards lived, my two Georgia Senators among them.

As for the Congressmen? Well, they have a much better record, but they are so hamstrung by long, long term appeasing Congressmen who attain inordinate power that they are blocked from doing anyhing - most of the time. Compounding matters is that the voters of the districts that keep re-electing these tyrants want seniority for their Congressman more than they want to fix this country.

Trey Gowdy signed the Contract From America, which aims to "Defund, repeal and replace the recently passed government-run health care".[19][20]

In October 2012, the Middle Class Advocacy groups Voter Punch and The Campaign for America's Future gave Gowdy an 'F'. By the groups' measures, Gowdy received a 7 percent.[21] The 2012 voter guide rates members of Congress on key votes that symbolize how responsive they have been to the interests of the middle class.[22]

WASHINGTON, DC (April 29, 2013) —– The “Gang of Eight” claims that its immigration bill does not provide amnesty for illegal immigrants. But an analysis of the legalization portion of the 844-page Senate proposal uncovers at least 11 amnesties for illegal aliens and their employers.

The report, by Ronald Mortensen, a Fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies, shows that the token penalties, when they do exist, are not commensurate with the employment-related felonies committed by the majority of illegal aliens, nor are they commensurate with the benefits received by illegal aliens. Just as unfortunate is the fact that millions of victims of these crimes are ignored while the amnestied illegals are rewarded and even benefit from the so-called penalties, as the monies actually go into a fund that provides services to the very people who paid the “penalties”.

“Illegal aliens will be rewarded for breaking laws for which American citizens are routinely punished,” said Mark Krikorian, Executive Director of the Center for Immigration Studies. “For example, an American citizen would face a maximum penalty of ten years in prison and fines of up to $250,000 for using a fraudulent Social Security card, but under this bill the illegal alien would face a $1,000 penalty covering all his many offenses, a penalty which in many cases will be waived. Then, they would be issued a new Social Security number without any past bad credit or arrest records.”

Dr. Mortensen discovered the following amnesties for illegal aliens and their employers:

Amnesties for Illegal Aliens

* Amnesty for the estimated 75 percent of illegal aliens committing Social Security fraud.
* Amnesty from returning to home countries for 10 years before adjusting status.
* Amnesty for illegal aliens committing Identity theft.
* Amnesty for illegal aliens by officially authorizing them to continue committing identity theft by using fraudulently obtained Social Security numbers belonging to American citizens.
* Amnesty for illegal aliens who have committed perjury on I-9 forms.
* De-Facto amnesty from the token $1,000 penalty, since it effectively pre-pays services provided to illegal aliens.
* Amnesty from existing exclusion, deportation, and removal orders.

While illegal aliens would be granted amnesty for crimes they have committed, government employees who discover Social Security fraud, identity theft, or perjury on I-9 forms while reviewing applications for provisional status would be prohibited from notifying victims, law enforcement, etc. with a threat of a $10,000 penalty. This is 10 times more than the $1,000 penalty paid by an illegal alien who has committed felony identity theft.

Amnesties for the Employers of Illegal Aliens

* Amnesty for employers found to have employed illegal aliens or who are currently employing illegal aliens. Moreover, employers may continue to employ illegal aliens, accept fraudulent Social Security numbers, and renew falsified I-9 forms for those who apply for provisional status.
* Amnesty for employers who did not withhold and/or submit payroll taxes for individuals illegally in the United States.
* Amnesty for employers who violated labor laws by paying unfair wages, who failed to pay wages, etc.
* Amnesty for employers who facilitated Social Security fraud and identity theft by providing or accepting false Social Security numbers.

While employers would be held harmless, government employees who find that employers violated the law while reviewing applications for temporary status would be prohibited from notifying the appropriate law enforcement authorities. If government employees do report tax or labor violations, they could face a fine of $10,000.
