FOX NEWS: Special Report aired the final segment in their investigative series on the Benghazi attacks. Fox News correspondent Adam Housley reported on accusations that the Obama administration dropped the ball.
A special operator who watched the events unfold and has debriefed those who were part of the response spoke to Housley on the condition of anonymity. He suggested more could've been done to save lives...

All undercover operations are shrouded with the smoke of plausable deniability. The primary method to avoid complete detection is compartmentalized information. No one person (except the head honcho and/or his direct lieutenant(s) need know the whole scheme. Now I'm just guessing, but the head honcho in your cited "big boys" would not be the Dept Secretary (or Director) but more likely someone with Operations or Current Operations in the job title.
It doesn't matter what gov't organization led this mission, or whether many orgs or only one were involved, the public, and almost everyone in government will never be told the truth. Each compartmentalized element of the truth of what was going on in Benghazi will be deemed a national security interest of the highest order, and protected as such.
You’d think the murder of an openly homosexual Ambassador by Al Qaeda operatives furious that he’d meet with Syrian opposition forces who didn’t share the Al Qaeda interpretation of Islam would be a hot story.
I mean the British, French and Red Cross all withdrew their people based on their own intelligence that something was up.
