Thousands of people with serious medical problems are in danger of losing coverage under President Obama's health care overhaul because of cost overruns, state officials say.
At risk is the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan, a transition program that's become a lifeline for the so-called uninsurables -- people with serious medical conditions who can't get coverage elsewhere. But I am not overly optimistic that the voters will really catch on to the benefits of limited government.
The States just got Sequestered by “O”, arggggg!
He never said it would be welcome "fundamental transformation."
Obamacare kills as intended.
God Bless my Governor! Not only did he say, ‘No’ to the exchanges, he said, ‘HELL NO; We’re not paying for THAT!’
We’ll see how long THAT lasts. *SHRUG*

But that’s not to say that Texas is home free. Even though Republicans have a majority in the House and Senate, some of the major committees are headed by Democrats - Dewhurst and Strauss’ doing. One of those committees is pushing for an expansion of Medicaid. Democrat Chairman is from an area close to the border and are using a Republican on the Committee to try to sell the bill.
Lots of chicanery going on. This year’s session is winding down but there will be a flood of bills hit the last couple of weeks - kind of SHTF time.
