A 16-year-old initially charged as a conspirator was also charged with murder Sunday after she and two others are accused of stabbing a man, putting his body in the trunk of his own car and eluding police until they were caught in Valencia County.
Julia Martinez, 16, of Gallup, was charged Sunday afternoon with first-degree murder in the death of Maurice Gonzales, 51, of Albuquerque. Also charged were Ashlee Gurule, 20, and Jennifer McKee, 18, both of Albuquerque, all of whom were homeless, according to what McKee told police.
According to the criminal complaint, Martinez, Gurule and McKee planned to kill Gonzales, whom they knew, because they wanted his car, and because he tried to rape them at his house, McKee told police.
When he didnt die right away they tried to suffocate him with a pillow, the complaint says. When he appeared still to be breathing, they stabbed him many more times.

You can always spot illegal mexicans, at least during the daytime. Driving in a beat up Voyager, Chebby van, truck that is 10+ years old, 4-6 of them crammed in, and driving a mile or two under the speed limit. Talk about profiling - that’s it.
Well, they won’t be “homeless” anymore..
On Friday afternoon cruise through any bank parking lot and look for four or five dark skinned males sitting in the back of a pickup. For confirmation, follow that truck to the nearest convenience store. If they all come out of the store with a quart bottle of beer you have your proof.
charming little whores
Judging by the paper, that doesn’t look to be the case here.
I realized it, but it triggered my recollection of ‘suspicious behavior’ and ‘triggers’ re: LEO pull-overs.
Most prominent thing, at least in my experience is how illegal mexicans drive (when not drunk)
This is New Mexico, so they’re probably locals not illegals.
See #7
and these Lifetime Movies of the Week just keep on writing themselves...
New Mexico? Didn't bill richardson give new mexico back to old me-hih-co?
Is this piece of land still one of the 57 states?
It's always meth.
Heck, they can all get driver's licenses anyway, so they should be able to drive like everyone else. No reason to drive slow unless otherwise impaired (booze or drugs). Besides, they stole the victim's car which is a recent model (see photo at the link) so if they had not been driving slow, its unlikely they would have been stopped.
I was thinking more along the lines of "The Closer."
Aha, maybe it will be used as next season's "Breaking Bad" script.
Quote of the thread.
Not here in Georgia....they are not supposed to have a DL if they are illegal.
Agreed. With 46% of NM citizens being Hispanics, determining someone to be illegal based or their surname is reaching.
I'd hit it.
Both of em. If She’s Brown...I’m Down!
