William Ayers says Weather Underground, Boston bombings not same

Bill Ayers, the 1960's radical who went on to become a college professor and associate of President Obama, said Saturday the bombings he helped the Weather Underground carry out to protest the Vietnam War bear no resemblance to the deadly Boston Marathon attack - and glossed over the fact that his group's bombs killed three fellow terrorists and have been linked to the murder of a San Francisco police officer.

“How different is the shooting in Connecticut from shooting at a hunting range?” Ayers told a reporter who asked him to compare the incidents after Ayers spoke at a commemoration of the 1970 incident at Kent State University, where Ohio National Guard members killed four students during a protest. “Just because they use the same thing, there’s no relationship at all.”

The bomb was of Ayres own design, and as far as those folks being his 'friends' one was his fiancé and one of the others his homosexual lover.

You don't see that happen just every day ~ not even with your run of the mill mad bombers, but of course, Bill is special

Yeah. A politically motivated bomber is much more acceptable than a religiously motivated one.

I hate it when the call him a radical 60’s war protester. What was it that he was protesting? The fact our boys were dying over there or the fact our boys were really good at killing his communist sh%#bag friends.

His terrorism case was dismissed on a technicality. Unless he kills again, he is forever not guilty.

While making general violent statements will surely attract attention from the government, they are not illegal on their own.

Gee. Ayres speaks at Kent State. Who’d have guessed that he was interested in what happened there?

“the purpose of all this agitation at Kent State was to recruit as much cannon fodder as possible, and then to provoke a “major confrontation.” When it came, it would be neither accidental nor spontaneous. It would be exactly what the revolutionaries wanted.”

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2798620/posts

This was Kent State:

“At Kent State, Communist Jerry Rubin said this: “The first part of the Yippie program is to kill your parents. And I mean that quite literally, because until you’re prepared to kill your parents, you’re not ready to change this country. Our parents are our first oppressors.”

Your first reaction on reading a thing like this, of course, is that maybe I have taken it out of context. You refuse to believe that anybody would say this. But Rubin really told the students what you just read. It is important to remember that, at the time, Jerry Rubin was a convicted criminal—he had been convicted for leading the turmoil at the 1968 Democrat National Convention in Chicago, where terrorists attacked the police—which raises the question of how such a man could be permitted to address students on a university campus in Ohio.**

Rubin also told the Kent State students to burn down the suburbs. “The American school system will be ended in two years,” he explained. “We are going to bring it down. Quit being students. Become criminals. We have to disrupt every institution and break every law. We should have more laws so we can break them, too. Everybody should have their own law to break.” As for the campus itself, Comrade Rubin told the students to ignore their professors, and to “burn all the books. It’s quiet here now but things are going to start again.”

[snip]

“...it is important to quote at length from the state grand jury report on the affair: “Fifty-eight Guardsmen were injured by rocks and other objects hurled at them as they moved across the ‘Commons’ to Taylor Hall Hill and down to the practice football field, and were then forced to retreat .... it is clear that from the time the Guard reached the practice football field, they were on the defensive and had every reason to be concerned for their own welfare .... The circumstances present at that time indicate that 74 men surrounded by several hundred hostile rioters were forced to retreat back up the hill toward Taylor Hall under a constant barrage of rocks and other flying objects, accompanied by a constant flow of obscenities and chants such as ‘Kill, Kill, Kill.’ Photographic evidence has established, beyond any doubt, that as the National Guardsmen approached the top of the hill adjacent to Taylor Hall, a large segment of the crowd surged up the hill, led by smaller groups of agitators approaching to within short distances of the rear ranks of the Guardsmen.

“The testimony of the students and Guardsmen is clear that several members of the Guard were knocked to the ground or to their knees by the force of the objects thrown at them. ...”

This was BEFORE rubber bullets. The NG there were mostly young.

It gets better..........

Here’s what Kent State gave us:
Ohio then elected a guy named Gilligan, who ran as a Peace Democrat. He proceeded to try to raise taxes and was soundly defeated in his run for re-election.

His daughter, Kathleen, married the son of a Kansas Congressman and, in 2002, ran for Kansas Governor. Part of her campaign was touting what a beloved governor her father had been.

She’s now in charge of the Death Panels.

You both built bombs that killed people who were not in a war zone.

You both killed policemen.

Bill Ayers built bombs that meant to destroy the Pentagon.

You both should be put to death for your actions.

He’s right. The Muslim terrorists at least have a sense of grievance. Ayers was just a privileged rich kid who hated America and capitalism.

Why isn't Bill Ayers under some Felony charge for Sedition, etc, from his 1960's, 1970's, etc, involvement with the Weather Underground.

Good question. If somebody knows please let us know.

The leftists in charge of our country seem blind when it comes to crimes of their own.

Ayers is Obungo’s mentor. Both will spin any tale and tell any lie. All for “the cause” of course. I’ll give Ayers credit for being in the forefront of leftist infiltration and control of our educational system. So many of his fellow leftists became edumacators.

Ayers, via his writing talent, put Obama where he is.

Ayers, however, is no different from the late Tamerlan "Speed Bump" Tsarnaev.

The Weather Underground was NOT a 1960s radical group. Their first action was to stage the Days of Rage riots in Chicago during the trial of the Chicago 7 (one year after the 1968 DNC riots that were coordinated by several left wing groups).

Bill Ayers bombed the Pentagon in 1972.

Members of the Weather Underground were still bombing throughout the 1970s and killing and robbing banks to fund their activities into the 1980s.

Treason is a crime defined in our Constitution and he most assuredly engaged in treasonous support of the enemy in wartime. John F. Kerry did as well.
