Minnesota appears poised to legalize gay marriage

Minnesota appears poised to legalize gay marriage, as the Democratic speaker of the state House said Tuesday that a gay marriage bill endorsed by the governor and likely to pass in the state Senate also now has enough backing in his chamber.

The House will vote on the measure Thursday, and if it passes, the Democratic-led Senate could vote on it as soon as Saturday.

House Speaker Paul Thissen, of Minneapolis, said that the 73-member Democratic majority he leads will produce at least the 68 votes needed to pass the bill. Senate leaders are also confident of passage, and Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton has promised to sign the bill, which would allow gay couples to marry as of Aug. 1.

"I think it's in line with the tradition we've had in Minnesota about respecting people, making sure everybody is included in our community and the fullness of participation in that," Thissen said.

Each new day, the whole notion of “secession” from these blue, Obama-voting fag states sounds better and better.

The country is going to dissolve anyway—or be taken over and dismantled. So why not do it on favorable terms for whatever decent people remain?

rapists will demand respect as well. they’re born that way. angry sex is the best sex, many say.

then murderers. who are we to judge. punishing rapists and murderers just for being who they are, is just so, so biblical.

i think what will happen is God is going to give’the left - a subset of unbelievers - and all the rest, what they want. He’s taking us out of here and letting them run everything into destruction. they think we’re the problem and life sucks because of us, if only we were gone they could set up their utopian societies. and they will find out just how wrong that view is.

HHH said if the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which he sponsored would ever be used for racial quotas then he would eat his hat. People in MN can’t even park a bicycle straight, to borrow from the late George Corley Wallace.

When the unbelievers go at one another’s throats they won’t know what impelled them.

The last time the homosexuals allowed a takeover government to use them the way the Obama regime is using them now, this guy and all of his fellow poofs ended up being the new government's first victims.

Happened today in Delaware, but evidently gays got no more legal rights under the bill than they had previously under civil unions - so really just a change in verbiage apparently - sad thing for the gays is that a year from now they’ll wake up and found they won nothing - they’ll still be the same unhappy, disillusioned relationship-impaired outsiders they were yesterday......

FDR was a conservative by today's standards. Shoot, Joseph Stalin was a "conservative" by today's standards. Can you imagine Eugene V. Debs crusading for "gay rights?"

That doesn't change the fact that every Humphrey liberal became pro-abortion and pro-"gay" on cue. I'm sure if HHH were around (or FDR, or EVD) they'd all be marching for "gay rights" now.
