The Gosnell Trial and the Liberal Conspiracy (BARF ALERT)
Penn Live ^ | 5/7/2013 | Dick Polman

Posted on 05/07/2013 7:10:09 PM PDT by HawkHogan

The reality is that Gosnell is an extreme anomaly. As The Daily Beast site rightly pointed out — in its coverage 27 months ago — "Gosnell's clinic was in no way representative of most abortion facilities, which is why the country's largest organization of abortion providers, the National Abortion Federation, refused him membership and testified against him to the grand jury."

Gosnell is accused of infanticide, which is obviously illegal. He's accused of doing procedures on women who were more than 24 weeks pregnant and, in Pennsylvania, that's illegal. All told, his sordid saga has no bearing on legal abortion as it's commonly practiced in America.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, only 1.3 percent of annual abortions are performed on women beyond 20 weeks. Ninety two percent are performed on women before 14 weeks.

To suggest that all abortions should be banned because of Kermit Gosnell is akin to saying that all financial counseling should be banned because of Bernie Madoff, or that all accounting firms should be banned because Arthur Anderson cooked the books for Enron.

On the other hand, if we want more Kermit Gosnells, then, by all means, let's ban all abortions. Let's cut off all access to affordable and safe providers; let's make it tougher for women to find somewhere safe to go. That way, more back-alley butchers would thrive.

Medical abuses would be so common that they'd cease to be newsworthy, and nobody in the press would bother to cover them — unlike the Gosnell story, a news staple since 2011.

Another delusional liberal. Gosnell isn't an anomaly. In fact, if he had ripped the babies apart while they were still in the womb, his practice would have been perfectly acceptable.

Before Roe v. Wade, there weren't many women dying in these back alley abortion mills. Another myth pushed by liberals. Just like the liberal justices in Roe v. Wade made up a fallacious history of abortion in common law, that was both untrue and unfounded.

BABY'S HEAD FOUND INSIDE PATIENT OF MICHIGAN ABORTIONIST

Just another "extreme anomaly".

Or to suggest that guns should be banned because of a few nut cases. Oh, wait...

Dick Polman is the national political columnist at NewsWorks/WHYY in Philadelphia (newsworks.org/polman). He is just another liberal asswipe that gets paid by federal tax dollars via PBS.

Of course the Patriot News gives him a platform to spew his baby killing agenda. This is exactly the reason the Patriot went from a morning and evening edition to a daily addition to three editions per week.

Some old fart offered me gift card the other day at Karn's to subscribe to the Patriot. I laughed out loud, paused, looked him directly in the eye and told him, "I won't waste my money on that liberal rag." He was surprised at my response. I got the impression he realized he was doing something wrong. Then I said, "nothing personal."

Dick says abortion is the moral equivalent of financial counseling. Any wonder the Democrats are driving the Country into financial ruin?

I can’t believe that any liberals even show their face in Philadelphia after the destructive effects of their policies upon the city.

I ride the R7 regularly... It’s an up close example of liberal policies in actions... vacant buildings... closed businesses... trash and filth everywhere.

If it’s an anomaly, why is the MSM blacking out coverage? The Newtown shooting was an anomaly too, but still got tons of press. Why is the left so afraid of the public hearing about Gosnell’s chamber of horrors? In a couple of years, Snopes.com will be telling us it never happened.

This reporter argues that the media didn’t blackout the Gosnell trial, yet Mullane posted a picture from the trial showing that the media section was completely empty.

The National Abortion Federation refused him admission to their prestigious organization. But they didn’t turn him in to authorities. Nod-nod, wink-wink. He was still providing needed “women’s health care.”

Hey Dick Polman, Gosnell has been doing this since 1972.

PRIOR to Roe vs. Wade.

Go 'splain how that happens. Back alley butchers didn't just "disappear" in 1973.

Nor did "good", sanitary abortionists all of a sudden appear at the same time.

Pro aborts are more upset that the clinic was dirty, then the fact that the clinic was used to slaughter babies...

If the floors and instruments were adequately cleaned, I’m not sure they’d object to Gosnell at all.

Oh my, I had never made that connection, but of course you are right. The same ghouls who were doing it illegally just came out of the closet and could charge Medicaid and insurance companies; it wasn't just shiny clean women's clinics popping up, staffed with the top of the med school class providing "health care."
