Romney lost because his policies were identical to Obama’s.

Romney was the lesser of two Democrats, the other one won.

A man who couldn’t put together a proper campaign team could not be expected to be President of the United States. We tried to tell them that, he failed to beat the man who was beaten by Obama the first time. Good grief, the epople who run the RNC are the dumbest people in the world and we don’t want them as our “leaders” anymore. We want people who actually possess a brain.

He lost because of not convincing real conservatives he’d make a real new difference. He lost because journalists didn’t want him to win. He lost because the Democrat machine figured out there were just a handful (maybe more) precincts in a few key states where above all that in normal Democrat precincts would make a BIG difference.

He won because he cheated. He won because media convinced the public MR was a murderer. He won because he was black and his constituents actually loathe America.

Romney's failure can be summed up in two words or one numerical figure:

Political ennui

47%

I well remember the second debate between Nobama and Mitt. When B. Hussein and Candy Crow collaborated together over Benghazi.

Mitt didn’t stand a chance. But did Romney lose the election over Benghazi alone?

Of course not.

He lost because he was suppose to lose just like McCain. They were not chosen to run by the people.

I think people wanted a man with substance and spine, an anti-0bama or at least a not-0bama, but Romney showed too many signs of being an 0bama-lite.
We lost because we let the MSM's referee the popularity contest that we call "Primaries".

translation: When his statement met the media hue and cry he curled up in a ball and let it go. The American public, seeing that he had neither a spine nor balls, and already predisposed to not like Wall Street types, decided he was not their guy.

You can always tell when the democrats are afraid of being caught in something politically damaging - they and their media stooges will try any lie to throw you off.

Usually something along the lines of 'voters are really gonna get mad at you if you keep investigating me', or some variation of that theme.

Romney was COWED by the administration...and did not scream bloody murder about Benghazi.

he lost the election in so many ways as to make it look like he was paid by the regime to run, just to lose.

Seems to me I recall John McCain making statements at the time that no one should go too hard after Obama on Benghazi. Benghazi was then cast as really only important to right wing nuts and that's why Mitt never really went after Obama on it. Mitt knelt at the alter of the independents, which he won, and then lost.

That is to say that at least Mitt was better than McCain who 8 days before the election in 2008 told everyone that they had nothing to fear from an Obama presidency.

Where to we get such messed up candidates?

Romney was too much of a hawk on Libya and wrote a pointless WSJ editorial about not wanting to rescue Detroit. These two items lost him the Midwest. Then Chris Christie piled on with his Obama love-in. In retrospect, if Romney had chosen Christie as his VP, he would probably have won. Christie had the kind of blue collar persona that won over New Jersey, and might have carried over to the Midwest. It’s pointless to ruminate over shoulda, coulda, though. It’s over and Obamacare is law.

Stuart Stevens and Lanhee Chen.

Been fighting insider RINO assholes like these two forever. No fixed ideas or faith, just endless bullshiite about how to go to the mythical "center" to try and win an election with the likes of Soccer Moms and Hispanics. Little Karl Rove empire builders, just as wrong and twice as stupid.

Any FReeper worthy of his salt could and did give The Mormon Milquetoast better advice than his staff. That trick underwear Mitt wears must cut off circulation to his brain. Instead of kicking the The Mombasa MoFo's lying ass, he decided to kiss it. Just brilliant. And the supposed 'Tough-Guy Ryan?' How anyone could actually lose a debate to a drooling fool like Joey Plugs, who obviously does not know the difference between Shiite and Shinola is beyond me.

That stupid Romney SOB and his staff of RINO gay-lovers might as well have taken a gun and mugged us for the wasted BILLION dollars he went through with his nonsensical non-campaign. O wait, he's for more gun control, too. If we could, we should make him pay it back.

I sincerely pray that this Romney Geek is the last gd RINO the GOP runs for President in my (admittedly short) lifetime. Ah well, nothing serious. Civil war is just 15 years closer. No biggie.

Sorry to be Mormon-Bashing, but what we needed here was the kind of Mormon MF who ran the Mountain Meadows Massacre, not this Ken Doll phoney-baloney "me-Too" RINO.

At the time of the 2nd debate, the Benghazi incident was basically off the radar. News junkies knew about it, but the ‘low information’ voters had only cursory knowledge via network TV news.

Romney could have, and probably should have, made it more of an issue in the 3rd debate — the foreign policy debate. But he didn’t. By then, he was coasting because he had won the first debate and survived the second debate.

The success of the Benghazi may have been a factor but the real reason he lost was because he was “a Commie atheist” (according to some whackjobs here at FR and elsewhere).
