Posted on 05/08/2013 3:39:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson
Following Breitbart News reports on the Pentagon collaborating with anti-Christian extremist Mikey Weinstein, which may lead to courts-martial for Christian proselytizing, members of Congress are preparing a letter demanding answers from Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel. Reps. Doug Lamborn (R-CO) and Republican Study Committee Chairman Steve Scalise (R-LA) are circulating the letter among fellow congressmen. Lamborn discussed the letter and his concerns during an interview with Breitbart News this afternoon.
There is already a provision in federal law, Section 533 of this years National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), that guarantees freedom of religious belief in the military. It does not explicitly reference service members verbally sharing their faith with each other, though such protection can fairly be inferred from the statutes language.
Lamborn explained, Congress put Section 533 into law to give [military] chaplains freedom of conscience. There have been indications recently that have made us in Congress question whether the military is fully honoring Section 533.
The congressman says that right now Congress is gathering information about this situation. Regarding this forthcoming letter, Lamborn says it requires Hagel to shed light on the particulars of Weinstein's suggestions:
[Hagel must] tell us, among other things, whether they are working with a liberal organization called the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, which condemns religious proselytizing, and they would like to keep chaplains from carrying out their appropriate responsibilities and duties...

Doesn’t Chuck Hagel have an anti-Israel streak in him? You know, like his boss?
Thank you very much!
I saw that, so lets my son out. But I asked him anyway. When in uniform, I cannot tell my son from anybody else.
May or may not be the Anti-Christ. Just wonder if Obama believes he is descendant of the Agagites, sworn enemy of the Jews of Queen Esther’s time (Remember Haman). We know that his father was an apostate Moslem from Kenya that was known to be of the Wahaabi Sect (Saudi Arabia). Just wonder what Soetoro brand of Muslim Sect was in Indonesia. Just guessing he to was of the same sect. Notice Obama went to Pakistan with college friends from pakisan were they shiitite or sunni.
Just remember the Shiitites and Sunnis have differing views on th 12th Imam.
Is it possible that Obama may think he is the precursor ro the 12th Imam, the 12th Imam or just a pawn to bring Islamic domination into existence.
;Mikey is a lessor demon to the anti-christ. He’s got a lot of nerve. Hate is like that.
I thought the Arabian muslims hated the african muslims?
"They have disseminated disparaging 'facts' about gays that are simply untrue assertions that are remarkably reminiscent of the way white intellectuals and scientists once wrote about the 'bestial' black man and his supposedly threatening sexuality."
I guess “If the Army and the Navy, ever gaze on Heaven’s scenes” The streets will no longer be guarded by United States Marines, if this admin has its way.
No. Those are Marine cammies. He does oddly resemble me, but I usually don't wear a bandana under my helmet.... also, my helmet is/was cooler. Like so cool that its like MC Hammer, so you cant touch this (early '90s pop culture reference).
So, I got schooled. JT, btw, is in the Army. Note how he knew I would not get the culture reference, too.
The areas of inquiry at the press conference will include but not be limited to:
7. How military brass, while prohibiting any mention of a Judeo-Christian God, invited a Muslim cleric to the funeral for the fallen Navy SEAL Team 6 heroes who disparaged in Arabic the memory of these servicemen by damning them as infidels to Allah. A video of the Muslim clerics prayer will be shown with a certified translation.
Talking about sons named Joshua. My son Joshua was one of the first American soldiers into Iraq on 3/20/03. His unit was on the Kuwait-Iraq border waiting for jumping off orders when he decided to step a couple feet over the border just to say he was there at the beginning.
Then he and others of his engineering unit went in with Kuwaiti engineers (who were filling in anti-tank ditches and plowing through defensive sand dunes to make way for our armor units).
My Josh and his team planted glow sticks for the armor to follow in the first minutes of the attack (after Iraqi watchtowers were destroyed by the air force). Then he got into his 15 ton truck, loaded with bridging equipment, three Beany Baby figures - an American Eagle, a beagle with a Jewish kippah, and one other item, an M16 over/under, and his M249 SAW. Then it was off to the war, travelling over 750 miles to Balad AF base after building the first ribbon (pontoon) bridge in combat, going through the sandstorm of the century (blood red),combat patrols, taking prisoners, killing terrorists, and finding enemy arms caches.
My son, a good Jewish boy, was, ironically, helping to liberate 25 million Moslems (and some Christians), as well as returning to our biblical starting places of Babylon and Ur.
Looks like we picked the right names for our sons, and they have done us proud.
BINGO! They are trying their very best to make us slaves and beholdin' to the government. I refuse to go along with that position!
I ___LOVE___ that nickname for him!!!!
I didn’t know what a dingleberry was until I bumped into the definition in a dictionary...
