Doing well, thanks! I have been scarce here lately - pressures of work.

I'm wroth over the testimony today and the Lame-stream Media's spinning of it. I can't understand how Obama or Clinton could look Charles Woods in the eye knowing what they know and having done what they did.

The stink of mendacity and treachery is all around this episode, and I know that the Canteen is not a political zone, but when our troops and our diplomatic corps are thrown to the wolves like they were in this case, I can't keep silent.

Justice demands accountability and redress for the Fallen of Benghazi!

That law firm never did seem to get it’s paperwork in order for you to work on.

Sending a prayer for a few relaxing days and then back to work. *HUGS*

SOUP FOR THE TROOPS

WELCOME TO THE

(where our troops, allies and their families can refresh themselves)

Good morning, Everyone.

Good morning

Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for today's activities
Another nice visit with the troops.
LOL. Can hardly see the dude in the first graphic.

DC METROLAND WEATHER

~ Today... Showers this morning
then scattered thunderstorms developing during the afternoon hours.
High 76F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%

~ Tonight... A stray thunderstorm is possible through the evening.
Partly cloudy skies. Low 57F.
Winds light and variable.

Making Z Zoup
A cup of this...a teaspoon of that...

Katharine Lee Bates wrote the words
to the classic American anthem "America The Beautiful"
after her trip to the summit of Pikes Peak in 1893.

There are professional tea tasters
as well as wine tasters.

While many people believe that a camel's humps
are used for water storage,
they are actually made up of fat.
The hump of a well-rested, well-fed camel
can weigh up to eighty pounds.

Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger bought the first Hummer
manufactured for civilian use in 1992.
The vehicle weighed in at 6,300 pounds and was 7 feet wide.

At an extravagant party during the reign of William III,
the Hon. Edward Russel, captain general of the English forces,
used the fountain in his garden as a giant punch bowl
for mixing his drinks.
The recipe included 560 gallons of brandy,
1,300 pounds of sugar,
25,000 lemons, 20 gallons of lime juice,
and 5 pounds of nutmeg.
Russel's bartender rowed about in a small boat,
filling up the punch cups for the awed guests.

The FR Canteen is ALWAYS

Come in, sit down.
Grab a cup of joe, or tasty tea.
Mingle a bit, chat with the troops
or family member.
There's always plenty of conversation,
silliness,
and plain old BS in the FR Canteen.
