One Virginia Lt. Governor Candidate is a RINO Gun Grabber (previously brought Bloomberg to VA)

VA-ALERT: **URGENT ACTION ITEM** VCDL-PAC swinging into action!

THE PROBLEM

We have a serious problem at this weekend's Republican Convention in Richmond dealing with the Lieutenant Governor's race.

Of the seven candidates, six answered the VCDL Candidate Survey very pro-gun. However, one candidate didn't bother to answer the survey at all. That is no surprise, considering Jeannemarie Davis's history on gun rights.

VCDL-PAC STRONGLY OPPOSES the nomination of a PROVEN ANTI-GUN LEADER -- Jeannemarie Davis -- for Lt Governor and urges gun owners to help us defeat her.

Jeannemarie Davis did not just vote badly on guns, she was a gun-control leader. In 2007 she carried and proudly promoted SB 827, a "gun-show loophole" bill that would have hurt gun shows across Virginia and made selling, renting, trading, or transferring a privately-owned gun without going through a dealer a FELONY.

To add insult to injury, Jeannemarie Davis invited gun-hating New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to Virginia in 2007 to stand side-by-side with her as she pushed her anti-gun agenda! Bloomberg also liked Jeanniemarie so much, he endorsed her last run for Senate.

A sampling of some more of Jeannemarie's bad votes:

* In 2006 she voted against HB 1106, which would have allowed a person to carry concealed anywhere on their private property or in their private vehicle without a CHP

* In 2006 she voted against SB 58, which would have removed the option for localities to fingerprint CHP applicants

* In 2005 she voted against HB 2535, which allows CHP holders to have a loaded handgun concealed in their vehicle on school property if they stay in the vehicle

* In 2005 she voted for SB 807, another "gun show loophole" bill

* In 2001 she voted for McEachin's Amendment to HB 1969 that would have gutted preemption by allowing localities to enact gun control restrictions

ACTION NEEDED

Jeannemarie Davis cannot be allowed to win at this weekend's Republican Convention, and we must act fast as we only have FIVE DAYS!

The VCDL-PAC intends to mount an intense ground game to beat Jeannemarie Davis at the Virginia Republican Convention. Such actions are not only labor intensive, they are also costly for getting signs, banners, leaflets, etc.

Please note: only the VCDL-PAC can spend money on political donations and partisan campaigning. VCDL's funds cannot be used for such things. Even though the last state elections were successful for the VCDL-PAC, the PAC's funds are at a critical low right now and we must begin to replenish them immediately or simply run out of money at the wrong time.

Just imagine what havoc Jeannemarie could cause if she becomes Lieutenant Governor! Imagine, even worse, that she gets more visibility and runs for Governor! That would be four years of VCDL fighting her on gun-control and good bills coming to a halt.

JEANNEMARIE MUST BE STOPPED -- AND STOPPED NOW!

We don't need a Bloomberg wanna-be elected to ANY OFFICE, including dog catcher, but much less Lt. Governor!

Help in the fight against those who disdain our right to self-defense. Every dollar helps.

Credit card donations may be made at:

We are in a serious crush in both time and funds. Please help.

If you are going to the convention, either as a Delegate or just to watch, both VCDL and the VCDL-PAC need help at the tables, handing out "Guns Save Lives" stickers, and CARRYING SIGNS AROUND.

We really have some great signs being made right now.

Thanks for your help.

Bob Sadtler
Chairman, VCDL-PAC

P.S.

If you are going to the Convention, or just want to know what is going on, follow us on Twitter. We strongly believe we will be making a further endorsement during the Convention. One of the few ways we can do this during the Convention is via Twitter. We may be able to send out a VA-ALERT but it will be difficult for most Delegates to read mail from the floor. Another option is the check-in with the VCDL-PAC at the booth.

The VA Republican Convention is this Saturday, May 18th in Richmond, so this is really important to get the word out to those attending.

I am not a Davis fan and knew that she was a RINO, but I was not aware how bad she really is on guns.

There are 7 candidates on the ballot for Lt Gov and the word is there may be up to 4 votes to select the finalist Republican Lt Gov candidate for the November election. Hopefully Jeannemarie Davis will not win the nomination on the first ballot due to conservatives splitting their votes among the other 6 candidates.

I’ll be at the RPV Convention this weekend and Ms. Davis will not have my vote, or probably anyone else in our delegation.

I’ll be there also. I plan on helping out VCDL some while there.

I was there 4 years ago and VCDL had their bright orange “Guns Save Lives” stickers everywhere. It was great.

Also there were lots of Gadsden flags all over the convention floor. I think Cuccinelli’s campaign was behind that.

I've been following VCDL quite a few years. If I lived in Virginia, I'd definitely be a member. It's the standard by which other state Second Amendment defense organizations need to be measured.
