WASHINGTON - Steven Miller, who resigned on Wednesday as the acting head of the Internal Revenue Service, said in a message to colleagues that there is a "strong and immediate need" to restore public trust in the nation's tax agency.
Miller resigned after the IRS became embroiled in a controversy over the agency's targeting of conservative groups for extra scrutiny.
"It is with regret that I will be departing from the IRS as my acting assignment ends in early June," Miller said in an internal message that was released by the IRS. "This has been an incredibly difficult time for the IRS given the events of the past few days, and there is a strong and immediate need to restore public trust in the nation's tax agency."

So he needed to leave weeks earlier, just as this was hitting the fan.
Since you are leaving why not tell all, what Obama threatened you with..You could be a hero if you just tell all..The communist needed to be outed before he does any more harm to our country.. I just wonder if the IRS Is still going to be in charge of Obamas “DEATH CARE”..

He didn’t want to apply for the permanent position? His application was turned down? Why? Because the bus’ undercarriage had to be fed? Because he’s an incompetent boob? Both?
Miller also ran the harassment of conservatives and right-wing organizations during the 90's as part of the Clinton administration. He was probably one of the administrators responsible for this particular scandal.
