How Would Democrats Use These Scandals against Liberty If the Tables Were Turned?

The first thing the left would do is recognize that these scandals are occurring 18 months before the next congressional elections and three years before the next presidential election. Therefore, the left would seek to taint the entire Republican Party with the scandal and, in particular, it would attempt to discredit potential presidential candidates such as Senators Cruz, Paul, and Rubio.

The Democrats would declare that such abuses arise out of the very culture of the Republican Party. They would say that the Republican party will inevitably commit these scandalous acts and, because of its hate-filled nature, the Republican Party is inherently incapable of refraining from scandalous acts and certainly unable to police itself after it is caught out. It will say that the only way for the voter to protect himself against out-of-control, radical, racist, runaway, Republicans is to debar them from office forever and install Democrats who will ensure that these abuses never happen again.

The left will find victims of these Republicans crimes, lionize them, and parade them before a supportive Congress and a fawning media to tell the American public of their suffering and personal anguish done to them by the brutish Republicans. Tears will flow; media indignation will overflow.

We will see interviews of bereaved wives and mothers of our brave heroes murdered because of a failed Republican foreign policy. We will see families bankrupted, evicted from their homes with their children out on the street because the Republican dominated Internal Revenue Service persecuted them. We will meet journalists whose careers have been ruined by the McCarthyite tactics of the jackbooted Republican Attorneys General.

Journalists will write news accounts highlighting the callousness and partisanship of Republicans who fail to accept blame for the scandal and note with approval that they are to be primaried and, even better, they will cheer on Democrats for offering bright, young, energetic candidates to confront these Neanderthals in the next general election.

Academia will write the history of the affair so that the next generation will understand, in effect, that there were no Communists who had infiltrated Democrat government, rather there were only Republican McCarthyites but this time around, crusading, courageous Democrats have thwarted the racist, capitalist, Republican conspiracy.

Momentum will build to a crescendo and, inevitably, some Republicans will make their way to cameras and microphones to express their shame over the conduct of the radicals in their own party. They will wallow in guilt. They will declare that it is time for the Republicans to clean their party of such ideologues. They will express support for legislation creating a new government agency to prevent such horrors in the future and they will express support for legislation criminalizing conduct and speech relating to the scandalous actions. They will call for special courts to try those who behave politically incorrectly.

The Democrat-controlled House of Representatives will threaten to impeach the Republican president and a gang of eight Republican senators will drive down Pennsylvania Avenue and tell the Republican president that he must resign or be impeached and convicted because senators of his own party had turned against him. Without any other option, the president will resign. His Republican vice president will assume the office but he will, in effect, be forced to operate his office as though it were controlled by a Regency of Democrats.

The Democrats will retain the House in 2014, retake the Senate as well, and force the a Republicans to nominate a Rino in 2016.

The Democrats will exploit the scandals to silence any coherent Republican opposition to immigration amnesty, Obama care, gun control, and tax increases. Republican contributions will dry up and Republican journalists and think tanks will find they have inadequate financial support to investigate Democrats.

By 2016 the Republican Party will be riven in twain with a rump minority of conservatives decamping from the Republican Party and running their own candidates thus ensuring a Democrat landslide across the board.

After 2016, with the Democrats in full control of all branches of government, the country will move into a new age of international progressivism with the best and the brightest from all nations fixing our economy and our justice system for the collective good of all.

Now that we know what the Democrats would do if the tables were turned, what do you suppose the Republicans will do?

Yes, the Republicans need to paint as broad a brush as possible. It’s not just a few individuals, it’s not just progressives, it’s the Democratic party as a whole. It is the Democrat’s culture of corruption. It is time to drain the swamp in DC...

Um.. the healthcare bill was written and ready to go well in advance of the election. The gun confiscation bill was written a year in advance of the “crisis”. The Dems are always ahead in strategically not letting a crisis go to waste. We are always on the defensive, without a game plan. Cruz & Issa need some help coming up with future strategies.

GOP is the go along party. Everything is for show: pretend to be appalled, pretend to be conservative, pretend to cae a bout the Constitution, pretend to care about budgets....

What Republicans care about is personal gain and re-election. Just like every other politicians. Democrats retain power by taking the lead. Republicans retain their livelihoods by pretending to care.

Agreed. And every single democrat in the Senate is complicit in covering up the crimes of the sob sitting in MY whitehouse.

No need to worry about the Democrats using these events against Liberty. You need to worry about the party that gave us the Patriot Act, established a National Police force (Homeland Security) and can't find it's ass with both hands. The Progressives of both parties will work together to usurp more for themselves and less for us. Progressivism is a cancer that must be surgically removed and then irradiated with the Truth and Wisdom of the founding fathers to root it out and drive it out.

The word you are looking for is collusion. Yes, there is collusion between the two parties. that is why the democrats are always one step in front of the republicans. they have been working together to bring about this New World Order that is occasionally mentioned in the side media.

Watch the video in my tagline and learn how it is all supposed to work.

The ‘Media’ sat on their collective haunches about EVERYTHING and didn’t start stirring till the IRS (and its broad brush implications) got involved THEN when ‘they’ were personally attacked, they started to ‘wake up’.

One can only wonder who BO ‘weeweed off’ to get this ball rolling. Just like days gone by, the Pols were walking all over us and it took the ‘House Banking BS’ to get people ‘involved’ - if for no other reason that while people may not grasp the Benghazi situation fully, or care why or why not a certain plane or tank is approved or disapproved, when you mention the IRS or check kiting, JOE SIX PACK is aware and knows about how much HE can get away with.

We better hurry with this IRS thing though as far too many people (and more on a daily basis) think the IRS is the source of THEIR income.

We automatically get the ‘Media’ riled up when they find they are the target of the same type of BS they have been agreeing with these last few years.

Lets ‘keep the line moving’ and maybe we will be able to roust out some of these SOB’s....
