An international poll has revealed the world’s least tolerant countries—with Hong Kong at the top of the list and Britain near the bottom.
The global social attitudes study claims that the most racially intolerant populations are all in the developing world, with Bangladesh, Jordan and India in the top five.
By contrast, the study of 80 countries over three decades found Western countries were most accepting of other cultures with Britain, the U.S., Canada and Australia more tolerant than anywhere else. …

While I would not like to live in an extremely racist country, I'm not so sure living in a tolerant country that is "accepting of other cultures" is all that ideal either.

There's your answer. Americans are not only the most racist people in the world, as everyone knows; they're also the biggest liars in the world. The end.

IOW, I'd a lot rather take my chances living next to an ethnic Chinese in Hong Kong that I would living next to someone of just about the same skin shade in Pakistan.
Not surprised. I live in the South and I’m always telling ignorant Northerners and foreigners that we are not that racist. The propaganda machine has been pumping out how racist we are for so long that people all over the world and the dumb Northerners believe it. That’s what their university professors tell them.
And we(west) are to be tolerant of the intolerant(middle east)?
This map validates the obvious — white nations are the least racist because the white residents of those nations have been subjected to endless propaganda for the past half century that noticing obvious differences among races is “racist”.
Residents in other nations have not been inundated with this endless propaganda so they naturally notice race differences and they naturally feel closer to members of their race and stand up for their race’s interests. All races do this, even races in Western nations, with the exception of whites who have been told that to act like everyone else would be “racist”.

Meanwhile, I’ve seen some very virulent racism out of people in the northern USA, especially the northeast.
