Ted Olson weighs in...
(Excerpt) Read more at video.foxnews.com ...
Olson has done a lot on the GoP side, yet is pro-same sex marriage. He wrote an op-ed in February 2011 highlighting how tyrannical it was for the IRS to target its citizens by the IRS.
It is the first overt and widespread manifestation of a tyrannical federal state in our history.
It is a watermark we will pay dearly for if we allow it to pass without consequence to those responsible.
This scandal is utterly unprecedented in US history.

Hear hear!
His point is well made, America was the country where people could be disidents and unhappy with their gov’t and voice opposition.
Yes. And Olson uses the word "tyranny" (or "tyrannical" -- one or the other)
This is not simply the "far right" using such words...when even same-sex supporters recognize the Obama Klan for what it is...the whole admin needs an impeachment boot for failure of separation of powers, committing felonies, etc.
The Dems have been exposed in a greater way for who they are. Felons. Tyrants.
Remembering what they did to Joe the Plumber did anybody think he or they would act any different if they had the power?
I hope The Koch Brothers and every other group targeted sue the hell out of the government....all the way to Supreme Court.
“tyrannical federal state”
I have to disagree.
The enemy is your neighbor, the coworker, your bus driver, etc. They are everywhere. This is why I keep stating “Don’t aim too high”. This isn’t about 44/2; it’s about the culture of those that work in government and the culture of entitlement. A discussion about who is organizing all this is a whole other matter. The scandals coming to light are a result of the ‘cult’ getting their game on, tactics well-taught to union members.
In the case of the IRS, prior posters linking the American Spectator article aptly quote:
“The IRS? Its about a union: the National Treasury Employees Union. The NTEU. A left-wing union representing 150,000 employees in 31 separate government agencies, including the IRS. A union that not only endorsed President Obama for election and re-election, but a union whose current president, Colleen Kelly, was a 14-year IRS agent and now is both union president and Obama administration appointee (of which more in a moment). Its about 94% of NTEU union contributions going to Democrats in the Senate and House in 2012 candidates who campaigned as vociferous opponents of the Tea Party.”
In some quarters they call that a tyranny.
This scandal is utterly unprecedented in US history.

How about using the IRS as an arm of an incumbent’s re-election effort. Illegally seized medical records, leaking private citizen’s and organizations federal tax returns to the opposition. They are going to have to start building more prisons to throw all these crooks behind bars.
And the “rogue agents” who were instruccted by their superiors are not going to remain silent and go to federal prison for this regime. Obama, Jarret, and Axelrod as well as Harry Reid are in very hot water. The consequences will be unprecedented. Impeachment of Obama will not be enough, there is criminal culpability here.
The pro-sodomy Ted Olson?
(Except that Obama the tyrant already has the rogued-robed ones in that court rigged, too...so much for "freedom" or "separation of powers"...the Obama administration has made the U.S. a laughing stock around the world...at least among any other countries that actually may care)
What we badly need right now is to make a few examples and throw a few corrupt asses in prison. That will cool the ardor of their disciples.
The left knows this tactic, its time we co-opted it.
The IRS scandal is overtly criminal but it is a diversion from the real scandal; Bengazi. Clinton and Obama can throw countless nonentities under the bus for the IRS issue but Bengazi can lead to impeachment for Obama and it can keep Clinton out of the presidency.
.
Not under the regime of Zeroista
Ted Olson argued the Bush case before the Supreme Court in Bush v. Gore.
It is a watermark we will pay dearly for if we allow it to pass without consequence to those responsible.
Sure. But who's on "Dancing with the Stars" tonight?
I think you are correct, however public employee unions are only part of a much bigger issue.
It is about the culture.
A culture in this country that has a very large number of Americans that “expect” the Gov’t to take care of them. Not necessarily for money, but more as a parental figure.
These Americans want to trust this gov’t and this administration. They have been conditioned to believe that Republicans are evil and will “make” them do things while the Democrats will “provide” things for them.
As a result, they think they will be more “free” under Democrats than Republicans.
It is a fundamental understanding of our Republic vs the appeal of our quasi socialist state.
Under our constitution and with a “true free market economy” you need to take a leap of faith. Faith in your fellow man.
Liberals/Progressives do not have this faith. So, they put their faith in Gov’t and will work aggressively to destroy anybody that threatens their proxy parent.
What is the worst part is that it is one and the same with Obamacare now, with preparation by Hillary (HIPAA) privacy which gives the gov’t as well as “research organizations” a right to peruse your health records.
Obama and his Chicago thugs are turning our country into one more third world hellhole. Or maybe Detroit.
Or am I repeating myself?
