Mitt Romney Talks AP, IRS, Benghazi On Leno, Says "I'm Not A Fan Of The President" (video)

Former Gov. Mitt Romney, the Republican party's presidential nominee in 2012, received large applause as he was introduced on Friday's broadcast of The Tonight Show by host Jay Leno in his first appearance on the late night show since he lost to President Barack Obama in November.

Leno asked Romney about the Obama administration's scandal-plagued week and gave him ample time to address the AP, IRS and Benghazi investigations. After making it clear he was done in politics, Romney was given nearly ten minutes to slam Obama's handling of Benghazi and his administration's involvement in other scandals.

While discussing the IRS scandal, Romney said it is time that a special counsel be appointed to investigate. "My own view is, that a a special counsel should be appointed. Because only a special council can investigate the administration," he said.

After giving his take on how Obama handled the scandals, Romney also opined on how Benghazi may impact Hillary Clinton's chances in 2016.

If Romney wasn’t against everything that we loved, he would be different than that.

Romney never looked as stupid as he did when conceding the election....which had been clearly stolen by Ohaha.

Obama kept bragging he was s-o-o-o-o popular---campaign contributions were raining down on him---and that he was the very first billion dolar candidate. Later, he said he had to "borrow" to continue his campign. Huh?

AN OPENING FOR ROMNEY Where were all the FEC reprts---where did O spend all that money? Romney said and did nothing.

The Obamatons cunningly suppressed the vote---siccing the IRS on conservative/patriotic voters. The O Team crippled the Republicans who had already shot themselves in the foot by picking Romney----another one of their loser candidates.

And recall that stupid RINO Pubbies ALSO called for investigations of Tea Party groups' tax status.

============================================

Obomba's sinister shadow hovers over America----a constant threat to our liberty and our lives. He's got DHS stockpiling ammo---and intends to multiply the onerous IRS forces----adding 16,000 new IRS agents, arming them w/ millions of ammo rounds (the "civilian ntl security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded as our military").

O probably intends to task the IRS to enforce the nightmare of immigrations reform----to keep his filthy hands on the levers of power.

CRAVING POPULARITY IS A SIGN OF DICTATORSHIP Obomba's methodology, including controlling the fawning press is a relic of 40's-era Europe---Pol Pot, Chavez, and Stalin, all rolled into one.

A decent man. Something that would not be used to describe the current occupant.

What debate were you watching?

Mr. Romney Thank you, Kerry, for your question. It's an important one. And — and I — I think the president just said correctly that — that the buck does stop at his desk, and — and he takes responsibility for — for that — for that — the failure in providing those security resources, and those terrible things may well happen from time to time.

I — I'm — I feel very deeply sympathetic for the families of those who lost loved ones. Today there's a memorial service for one of those that was lost in this tragedy. We — we think of their families and care for them deeply.

There were other issues associated with this — with this tragedy.

There were many days that passed before we knew whether this was a spontaneous demonstration or actually whether it was a terrorist attack. And there was no demonstration involved. It was a terrorist attack, and it took a long time for that to be told to the American people. Whether there was some misleading or instead whether we just didn't know what happened, I think you have to ask yourself why didn't we know five days later when the ambassador to the United Nations went on TV to say that this was a demonstration. How could of we not known?

But I find more troubling than this that on — on the day following the assassination of the United States ambassador — the first time that's happened since 1979 — when we have four Americans killed there, when apparently we didn't know what happened, that the president the day after that happened flies to Las Vegas for a political fundraiser, then the next day to Colorado for another event, another political event, I think these — these actions taken by a president and a leader have symbolic significance, and perhaps even material significance, in that you'd hoped that during that time we could call in the people who were actually eyewitnesses. We've read their accounts now about what happened. It was very clear this was not a demonstration. This was an attack by terrorists.

And this calls into question the president's whole policy in the Middle East. Look what's happening in Syria, in Egypt, now in Libya. Consider the distance between ourselves and Israel, where the president said that — that he was going to put daylight between us and Israel. We have Iran four years closer to a nuclear bomb. Syria — Syria's not just the tragedy of 30,000 civilians being killed by a military, but also a strategic — strategically significant player for America. The president's policies throughout the Middle East began with an apology tour and pursue a strategy of leading from behind, and this strategy is unraveling before our very eyes.

Do you recall how Reid & gang pushed to get Romney to release more of his tax returns. We sort of wondered who leaked what to democrat leaders regarding Romney’s returns.

Sadly, Romney did end up releasing more returns and I do not think him refusing would have helped either. They would have destroyed him over it. If we had the American public and a viable MSM...it might have been different, but the culture doesn’t allow it. It is called tyranny.

That is why I have no use for MITTENS. . . . This 4 of ZERO's reign belong to Him and him alone.
The first 4 belongs to MCLAIM. . .

I was thinking last night that with all of this coordination in all of the Depts we are seeing in all these new scandals that I am now convinced Obama crashed the ORCA system on Election Day. It may not have been the difference but like Nixon he could not take the chance so he made sure the website went down. Can’t prove it but I am sure with an investigation by someone it could be done.

Gotta give Romney credit for putting together a campaign staff which was not up to the task, incompetent or traitors. Let’s not encourage Romney to be a THREE TIME LOSER!

Yup, the guy in charge of ORCA appeared to be a hack who was probably a plant by Soros. When I read his Bio I laughed, no experience, he was a website designer not a database person. Look at the pretty website oh crap it doesn’t work but it flashes LOL

“What debate were you watching?”

Around here, the first reply to a new thread (that isn’t the original poster) is almost always something stupid.

Romney, Rove, and the Bush Klan should decently excuse themselves from any political discourse. Their idiocy and incompetence helped put that bastard Obama in office, not ONCE but TWICE!

Yep, in light of this the Obama-Phone was also a strange promotional concept and should be stamped with ‘Government Welfare’ if not discontinued, which I would favor.

Romney was the least competent presidential candidate since Tom Dewey.

He did not fight...his son Tagge has been quoted as saying that his father did not really want it.

It showed.

“I’m not a fan of the President”

Ah, yes - fond memories of that old fighting spirit. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit guest slots on late night talk shows.
