As long as the special prosecutor is named by holder? ‘Just askin’.

So, that’s the hold up...Holder. Any way possible to go around him?

Fire him - under the bus with him.

The new guy will appoint.

Special prosecutors take a long, long, time to do their job. The Rats want to kick the can down the road as long as possible.

Exactly, a Special Prosecutor will actually make it go away, or at least out of the news cycle for a long time. Certainly, until after the 2014 elections, when Obama hopes to get control of the House and reinforce his control of the Senate.

If he’s appointed by Holder, he’ll be useless; if he’s someone who actually is non-partisan, he’ll be demonized, hampered and discredited throughout the investigation. But most of all, he’ll be ignored, while Obama can just say, see, we appointed a Special Prosecutor.

Congress can again pass a Special Prosecutor law. They just have to override the president’s veto, which means lots of Dems on board. Until that day comes, it’s all rhetoric.

What about Valerie Plame investigation? They are called Independent Counsels now, but we can still have them, AFAIK.

Maybe my memory isn't serving right, but I seem to recall Ken Starr having something going, all the time.

Dems think short term. All they care about is skating through 2014 with Nasty Pelosi getting in as Speaker. Special prosecutor works fine for this

Sure he does, as long as they don’t appoint one for Benghazi...Barry’s Boys are out on Republicans social media forum’s ..I noticed each time I go to my reps pages and ask for a Special Council, they hone in for the attack..this weekend the word “Offended” was used because these “non-events” are preventing 0 from his governing.

A very carefully chosen special prosecutor, a RAT appointee, for sure!

Right now, only if Holder wants it. Bush did want it, and paid the price. Obama is not that dumb. Prior to that, Congress could appoint them...but that lapsed.

I recommend the “Special Prosecutor” be selected from the ranks of the Tea Party.
