Squelching the Tea Party Gave Obama the Election
American Thinker ^ | 05/20/2013 | Karin McQuillan

Remember all the headlines during the election, wondering what happened to the Tea Party, the liberal crowing that it had gone silent?

NPR, February 2012: "Strong in 2010, Where Is the Tea Party Now?" - "what's most striking about the movement this election has been its notable absence." Mother Jones, "The Tea Party is Dead." ." ABC: "What Happened to the Tea Party?" New York Times, June 2012: "The Movement Has Fizzled Out."

Remember how odd it was hear conservative pundits saying, 'our voters would crawl over broken glass to vote against Obama', while pollsters correctly predicted that Republican turnout would be nowhere near what it was in 2010? Remember 2010, when the Tea Party grassroots roared? Remember 2012, when the Tea Party was missing? Obama lost Democrat votes in the 2012 election. He won because Republicans stayed home. Democrats got their vote out, we didn't. The contrast between Republican turnout in 2010 and 2012 can be summed up in two words:

Tea Party.

This is why Obama got his IRS to prevent tea party groups from getting started to rig the election. Also the IRS stole the election for Senate and House Democrats .Many more conservative Republicans like Ted Cruz would have gotten elected as in 2010. but the IRS killed the tea party in the election of 2012. All under the direction of the big eared communist donkey called Obama. Impeach this tyrannical clown and abolish the IRS(repeal the 16th. was that thing ever ratified? NO)

Anyone who voted for Hussein in 2008 deserves America's pity.

Anyone who voted for Hussein in 2012 deserves America's contempt.

Both sides were in cahoots. The republican party did literally everything possible to make the worst possible and the most moderate-liberal candidate the republican nominee. Any and all challengers were destroyed while their candidate was buoyed and supported. Conservatism was being attached from both sides so that the welfare state could live on. Both at the national and local levels, Tea Party supported candidates were prevented from getting nominations. No surprise that there were a slew of defeats in senate elections across the country.

The democrat party doesn’t like the Tea Party and neither does the republican party. They id what ever was necessary to water down that anti-incumbent, anti-government fervor. John Boehner’s committee appointments and Mitch McConnell’s continuous treachery are examples of this.

And today, here in Massachusetts, John McCain is working to get another worthless moderate republican elected to the senate.

All throughout I was puzzled by the absence of any hard-hitting third party issue ads in the wake of the Citizens United decision.

Now we know why.

RE: Legitimate rape

The idiocy cuts both ways. Those who finally DID NOT vote for Todd Akin and Richar Murdock for just one stupid statement in order to allow the Democrat (who is FOR killing babies) to win, are even more idiotic.

Protest Obama’s IRS at your local IRS Office or Post Office at Noon, May 21.

Gadsden Flags are optional.

Details on Michelle Malkin’s blog.

Um.

Romney was the reason we lost last time. McCain the time before that.

Sure Obama was in the right place, at the right time, but face it we ran terrible candidates both times.

What we need is strong candidates. Not Obama-bashing.

Palin / Cruz would be a good start.

It was a good bait and switch the whole time that the right was focused on the usual voter fraud like box stuffing and dead people voting they end ran with the IRS because nobody was watching. I love that NObama gave the speech he did at Ohio State saying to ignore those that say government is evil. That should be played non-stop along in conjunction with clips about the IRS and AP scandals to drive home he is a liar and corrupt moron.

NO . Obama used his IRS to rig the election. The IRS prevented many tea party groups from getting started .Obama’s IRS stole the election of 2012. the IRS stole the senate for democrats/socialists and there were many more socialists/democrats that got elected to the House than if the tea party would have been allowed to get out the vote for conservative R's

I agree and would have still voted against the rat if I voted there. The problem is we are dealing with a population of people who are 50% stupid and below average intelligence. Candidates have to be smarter than that.

The loss by Romney was explained (even by conservatives) as the failure by Romney’s team basically to get out the vote.
If harrassment and targeting by the IRS to Tea Party groups
to endlessly thwart them from the non-profit status they were seeking to streamline their fundraising and make them the “force” they had every right to assume they’d be in the election, then why did it take so long for them to make an issue of it? I’m not saying it wasn’t a factor, maybe even a big one, but if it was decisive, it looks like it’s become the most painful lesson this neophyte new force in American Politics has yet had to learn. They seemed a little slow on the uptake on this issue to have only brought it out now,or have it brought out on their behalf, this long after the election. What is ALWAYS SAID about the Tea Party is that it is no one monolithic or particularly well-organized group, but hundreds of regional groupings with the same basic philosophy, but different emphases on strategy and style. As one who has been in it from the beginning, I know that’s true. Looking for answers now for what happened in the last election, that very fact may offer a key as to how and why the Tea Party nationally was neutered-—they simply didn’t know this was happening to dozens, maybe hundreds, of
those applying for the non-profit status, but just them alone. OR, they knew it was wider than just them, but didn’t know how to organize and join with all others , make a lot of noise approaching the election, and scream “We’re not being allowed to raise money the way everyone else is!”

This article is needs to be investigated. Obama lost 4.5 million votes in 2012 compared to 2008. Romney secured 1 million more votes than McCain. However, the 2010 mid-term were historical numbers. The GOP received 2.5 million more votes than the Democrats received in 2006. Romney only got 16 million more votes than the GOP 2010 congress, but Obama got 28 million more than the Democrats.

The article itself or the numerical statements of the article?

Just testing my understanding of your statement ;)
