The President Won - Sort Of [VDH]
National Review ^ | 5/21/2013 | Victor Davis Hanson

Posted on 05/21/2013 6:40:27 AM PDT by Servant of the Cross

The administration spent the last six months of the campaign in cover-up mode.

On September 11, 2012, Barack Obama was 1 point ahead of Mitt Romney in the ABC and Washington Post polls. He was scheduled to meet Romney in three weeks for the first debate. The president was increasingly anxious. Unemployment was still at 7.8 percent, and the Solyndra and Fast and Furious scandals had only recently disappeared from the news — and they had done so only thanks to the use of executive privilege.

But the Tea Party seemed to have lost its 2010 momentum, despite its renewed warnings that Obamacare would be a disaster if not repealed in 2013. The president was running on the slogan that GM was alive and bin Laden was dead — the implications being that massive influxes of borrowed federal money had allowed GM’s work force to survive, and that with the death of bin Laden came the unraveling of the “core” of al-Qaeda. Libya, of course, was cited as an overseas success — a sort of implied un-Iraq.

The contours of the campaign, in other words, were well drawn. Obama claimed that he had brought peace overseas and restoration at home, while Romney claimed that we were less secure on President Obama’s watch and that the economy was ossified because of too much debt and government spending.

And the race was neck and neck.

The 2012 POTUS election was a fraud. 0 and his henchmen (and women), along with a sycophant inbedded media, stole it.

Romney never looked as stupid as he did when conceding the election....which had been clearly stolen by Ohaha.

Obama kept bragging he was s-o-o-o-o popular---campaign contributions were raining down on him---and that he was the very first billion dollar candidate. Later, he said he had to "borrow" to continue his campaign. Huh?

ANOTHER LOST OPENING FOR ROMNEY Where were all the FEC reports---where did O spend all that money? Romney said and did nothing.

========================================

The Obamatons cunningly suppressed the vote---siccing the IRS on conservative/patriotic voters. The O Team crippled the Republicans who had already shot themselves in the foot by picking Romney----another one of their loser candidates.

And recall that stupid RINO Pubbies ALSO called for investigations of Tea Party groups' tax status.

============================================

Obomba's sinister shadow hovers over America----a constant threat to our liberty and our lives. He's got DHS stockpiling ammo---and intends to multiply the onerous IRS forces----adding 16,000 new IRS agents, arming them w/ millions of ammo rounds (the "civilian ntl security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded as our military").

O probably intends to task the IRS to enforce the nightmare of immigrations reform----to keep his filthy hands on the levers of power.

CRAVING POPULARITY IS A SIGN OF DICTATORSHIP Obomba's methodology, including controlling the fawning press is a relic of 40's-era Europe---Pol Pot, Chavez, and Stalin, all rolled into one.

The election was lost in part because of massive dishonesty by the media - selective reporting of convenient facts when available and convenient lies as needed. The election was also lost in part because of massive dishonesty at the polls - massive absentee ballot fraud, massive voter fraud at the polls, and massive fraud in counting the ballots in select districts. We no longer have free and fair elections, which means we no longer have a legitimate federal government.

They write this horseshit for posterity. No one here, or in their leeching camp believes it.

They only seek to whitewash Obama as Messiah like all the other accomplishments of their brethren in our history.

All things traditonal [white and Judeo/Christian] are diminished and eventually erased if they remain in power long enough.

History belongs to the victor.

I prefer to believe (hope?) this is written to provide Congress with the 'talking points' to incriminate.

I also, but history as written by the outcome of the last effort to incriminate and oust a disgusting President did not end in justice. It ended in the ignominous distinction that we have a new sexual revalation that oral sex, is not ‘sexual relations’

This is all one big joke to them. Like the joke and the guffaws and laughs that many blacks expressed after the OJ criminal verdict, or re-electing Adam Clayton Powell to Congress over and over, or re-electing Marion Barry to mayor over and over, or Barney Frank, or Ted Kennedy or dozens and dozens of others... all the while bellowing and pontificating what a big disgrace and high crime Whitewater was with Nixon.

I sometimes feel like there is a man with a family in DC that is having dreams of God telling him to leave that place with his wife and children. Walk out and don’t look back lest they be turned to a pillar of salt.

It is disheartening.

Every establishment Republican makes the same mistake as Romney in assuming they must play by the rules while "by any means necessary" is the MO of the enemy.

What we need is another Lee Atwater who will play the game by their rules.

Not all of the GOP failure is Romney per se. Just think, the same bunch of advisers will continue to run the campaigns and strategize for the next GOP candidates, and the next ....

And they relied on the last minute GOTV that never materialized by con artists (or never-tested tech idijts) ......

Good morning.

That's why the democRATs/marxists/liberals/socialists (sorry for the redundancy) hated him so much.

You must be referring to those getting on board the "Jeb Train". LOL

I was of the opinion that Ted Cruz needed "more seasoning". After observing him in office for about 4 months, he's salty enough for me.

The extreme attacks on conservative groups and individuals by Obama’s IRS scared a number of people into witholding donations out of fear they will be targeted - most people don’t have $80,000 to defend themselves from the onslaught of a rogue administration’s IRS.

An administration using a Federal Agency to change the outcome of a Presidential election, is right now quivering in fear that one of the people they are sacrificing on the alter of the great Obama, won’t go quietly into the night (or into the prison cell).

I hope their concerned are confirmed.

Just damn! Imagine if Newt instead had been the nominee with the opportunity to 'handle' Benghazi in a POTUS debate with the liar-in-chief ....

I just was reading WTF, and on page 255 I saw this article ... about a "10 p.m. phone call" ... but it wasn't about Benghazi ....

But it surely invoked a very very memorable and deliriously happy reaction for me. How ON EARTH did we not nominate Newt over Mitt?!

Newt Gingrich Annihilates Juan Williams In Myrtle Beach, SC

I can see Newt having done the same to 0bama over Benghazi in the debate , in spite of the partisan hack Candy Crowley.

THANKS SOTC -
That video of Newt and Juan in Myrtle Beach is something I go back and watch from time to time just to think “what if” - and yes, the “10 o clock Question” sort of sez it all.....

The more time that goes by and the more we learn, the more I’m convinced that Obama stole the election with the approval - and maybe even the help - of the republican party. And I think the reason is that they all believed quite strongly that if Obama lost the cities would burn.

And the “good news” is that as is usually best with things evil, it is important to let them blossom to their full fruit to remove all doubt about what they are. And then you take them out. If something fatal had happened to Hitler before 1939, much of the world would probably still remember him as a great man that brought Germany back from almost total collapse.

The protective layers have been being removed from Obama since election day. We have several more years to get through. These are not the last of the scandals.
