I grew up there, left there but have family there and trust me England is more violent, knife crime, smashing bottles in faces etc is part of a weekend night now.
Last time I was there we walked in a pub with my wife and she saw right away a girl with glass sticking out of her face, later kids were smashing the bus station and then went for a chippie and got asked what am I looking at so I had to have a fight and put the fool down with a head butt.

Sorry, if that seems harsh but the Brits have backed the Muslim side in every jihad I can think of, Biafra, Cyrpus, Bosnia, Kosovo, Libya, and now Syria. In ever one of these cases the Brits backed the Muslim side.

Yes, I saw the picture. The knife isn’t as big as the meat cleaver so I figured they were calling the cleaver a machete and the knife a knife. The knife just looks like a kitchen knife and not even a chef’s knife which is a decent weapon.
Calling a knife like that a machete is nuts. Some time ago, I recall the British lawmakers considering outlawing the possession of a kichen knife outside a house.
