That is not a machete. It’s a meat cleaver. Since that guy has one, wonder if he works in a meat shop? The English may call it a machete, however. A machete has a longer blade and it’s much narrower. Then, there is my Cold Steel machete that is so long one can whack off the head of a zombie and never get close.
Either way, seems they need to outlaw meat cleavers along with the pressure cookers. Or at the very least, establish a national database and onerous background checks for anyone who wishes to possess a meat cleaver.
Around twenty years ago...because of that one shooting of kids in a school...the Brits got real serious about weapons. So private citizens are unable to carry any weapon on themselves, and half the cops in the country do not carry a weapon.
What changed over twenty years is the number of assaults and deaths by knives. It has gone into huge numbers, and political figures really don’t want the topic to come up in any conversation or media piece. I would imagine on any given day in the UK....there’s fifty thousand people walking around with machetes or meat cleavers. The authorities can’t outlaw the practice and just accept it because they don’t want anyone with guns walking around.
Look at the video again, he has both in one hand, the machete is shielded from view by the meat cleaver.
