The Battlefield is everywhere - the Boston Marathon, the London Underground, and Ft. Hood for a few examples. Remember what that murdering brute said the other day "You people will never be safe!"

That quote defines our life in the 21st Century - a throwback to the 7th Century. We are under concerted attack by an enemy who flouts all of the trammels of civilized society.

We must steel ourselves for the conflict - it is upon us!

"Riamh nár dhruid ó sbairn lann!"

Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

Good evening, Maestro - an excellent array tonight! The Bonnie Blue Flag will not play for me - I get an error message - says that the "YouTube Community" has determined that the content may be offensive. When I click on the "Continue" patch, nothing happens.

More PC Tyranny, if you ask me!

If you keep clicking on that “Continue”, it will eventually let you in. The You Tube people have their PC issues.

Howdy, Connie Lou! (((hugs)))

It’s funny....they don’t bother me as much when I’m at work as they do when I get home and sit down. Can’t figure that one out!

You DID get it...and I got out to go get it for the first time in a long time! Woohoo!

Hope you and T-Man have a GREAT weekend!

You’re welcome. People tend to forget how Memorial Day started, so it’s good to get a refresher course.

Give some men a harmonica, a banjo and a fiddle, and they’d strike this up in seconds. It’s Stephen Foster sounding like folk music.

”Camptown Races”

When a great tune came along, both sides took it up without hesitation, although this was a Northern tune from the beginning, originating in Massachusetts. These are the Northern lyrics, and this is Mitch Miller’s version.

”When Johnny Comes Marching Home”

Although Texas came late to the party, the Texans contributed one of the war’s most enduring musical legacies. This is Mitch Miller’s 1955 recording.

”The Yellow Rose of Texas”
