McDermott? Wasn’t that crooked scumbag convicted of something? Maybe I’m thinking of that other crooked scumbag, Jim Moron? Anyway, it’s only natural the scumbag rats wasted a trillion dollars of “stimulus” taxdollars on who knows what - - propping up union pension funds, I guess - - and now they’re back for more. It’s neverending.

Go play in the street, McDermott, you sick p.o.s.

There is nothing about infrastructure which wasn’t known in 2009.

The $834 billion which was wasted in Porkulus could have rebuilt a lot of bridges.

The bridge was not on the WA state structurally deficient list -

And out of the $1,000,000,000,000 stimulus package WA state did not include any bridges in it’s list of “shovel ready” projects.

The congresscritter is short on details, as might be expected...

Grasping at straws to keep up the pace on “Republicans are to blame for everything”..anything to try to deflect away from the BOZO triathalon of scandals going on.

WHERE ARE ALL THE OBAMA SHOVELS? That bridge should have been fixed a couple of years ago.

Leftist social spending has sucked the revenue out of infrastructure repairs and update. The Democrats rule the Washington legislature.

In the News/Activism forum, on a thread titled
Dem:(WA Rep McDermott) Republicans throwing infrastructure ‘under the bus’
, DakotaRed wrote: to my suggestion for some background
“He’s from far north of me, but all you need do is google (or whatever you use) Baghdad Jim McDermott and you will find more than you want to know.

It is a very socialist section of the state he represents.”

Look up what ? The guy is way farther north and west of me (Wisconsin) than he is to you and in your screwed up state and not mine. If you have rotten fish to toss don’t expect someone else to toss them.

I think it is “infrastructure” that needs to be in quotes, we all know that 90% of that will end up going into pockets

Nobody ask you to toss anybody. My words were an acknowledgement of who and what he is.

I can’t even vote against him since I am not in his congressional district.

If you don’t want to look up Baghdad Jim McDermott, no problem.

But what you will find is way too much to put in a reply.

You can start there or ignore it, your choice.

Your initial post #17 was a swipe at the governor of Oregon not at McDermott and that governor’s support of light rail at the expense of other road repair infastructure problems in Oregon. If you drew some connection to McDermott with your assertion against Oregon’s governor that would be one thing but you didn’t amd you don’t live in Oregon . You gave McDermott a pass and blamed Oregon. That ain’t gonna work.

If you knew anything at all about me, and believe me, you don’t, you’d know that no one gets a pass from me, especially the light rail at any cost crowd holding bridge safety hostage to light rail.

But, thanks for reminding me why I rarely visit FreeRepublic any longer.

Ta ta

This gave Zero the talking point that he would have shovel ready jobs if elected to fix these things. So what happened? Billions of dollars spent but nothing fixed. Thank you libs.

One of his stimulus fiascos was supposed to enhance insulation in homes to save energy in Seattle and after spending millions they only did about 10 homes. I guess it was the rampup costs to get the program rolling that ate up all the funds.
