I am glad you liked it NGZ.

I knew you would, it's like peering into the future in some ways.

Yes, show that film to everyone you can, and that is the best outcome for this Eugenic Crap, the worst options in the Abortion Mill and the Gas Chambers.

That kind of approach would be technically very difficult.

First, you’d need to know exactly what the genetic defect is (and, among billions of base-pairs, that isn’t trivial). The only way we know now is by specifically looking for known defects.

Then, you would have to devise a delivery system for the corrective DNA. There are several options for this, but the efficiency would probably depend a lot on the stage of pregnancy. And it would be difficult to target the fetus in a non-invasive manner; an invasive manner would risk killing the fetus.

I’m not sure that anything that intentionally and specifically targets the DNA with the goal of changing the sequence is ever going to fly, even if it were possible. Ethically, people would be against it. Medically, good luck getting it through the FDA—even if you could get the FDA to approve one treatment for one specific condition, the FDA won’t automatically extend that to similar treatments for other conditions.

Right now, it is possible to examine blastocysts prior to implantation in IVF clinics. New techniques are being developed; one was published recently in Science that looks very promising in being able to select blastocysts that have the highest chance of implanting and growing into a baby. But, even with those techniques, some sort of adverse genetic condition can still get through.

I have no particular ethical concerns regarding early products of conception—they have no organs, no nervous system, no awareness, and really are just clumps of cells responding to a series of instructions. But I think there are people who would have strong objections to such manipulations.

Within the last three weeks it was announced by the most authoritative researchers that SCHIZOPHRENIA IS GENETIC ~ and they even identified the parts of the genome.

It, and 5 other serious to less serious genetically based mental illnesses were so announced at the same time.

Every now and then black death comes around and exterminates everybody without at least one copy of a single gene ~ that's the one that causes Cystic Fibrosis.

Not having one of the over 1000 variations in the CF gene predisposes you to death from black plague.

So, which is the disability?

No child is created in a state of self-mutilation ~ so we can probably rule a test out for a genetic cause. See my thoughts on Leftwingtardism being a result of a mosquito borne microorganism or toxin.

There's a nearly perfect correlation between Leftwingtardism and mosquito densities in this country!

It's possible to determine mosquito densities from space no less.

Absolutely no excuse for people to continue to live in the high density areas ~ not in this country.

No, I meant people who are opposed to abortion, love their children and care for them are the fittest.

My oldest son arrived with heart problems and ADD. Four open heart surgeries (ages 5, 10, 15, 17). Kicked out of kindgarden the first day...too much for the teach to handle. The first surgery, recovery and ADD medication were necessary to even approach attending school. We weathered it. My medical insurance covered the surgeries. He graduated from high school and started college. Over the 32 years he lived, he was never able to earn enough to support himself. He lived with us at home. We were resigned to that situation. He passed last May 17 from a bad reaction to an antibiotic.

We never asked anything of the taxpayer. His meager earnings never even covered his basic medications...never mind food, clothing, shelter. They did add up to enough to make him ineligible to be listed as my dependent.

We did it without help. I reject the premise that it is the responsibility of others to take on the care of a disabled child. It puts a crimp in your life expectations, but is one of the risks you take in choosing to have a child.
