In BARDSTOWN????? Quite disturbing! And surprising, not like it is in the city somewhere, or even other areas of KY, but Bardstown??? So sad, one of the most beautiful towns I have ever seen, and I love visiting it when I go down in the summer. I just can’t believe it, so sad for his family.

More than one of the old timers that live nearby tell some wild tales about learning to drive to Louisville with their product.

The eighty plus previous owner of my property stopped by last summer and confirmed the spring in the woods was the site of their still.

Not too comforting that E-town and Radcliff have them either! I frequent both towns, grrrrrrr. So does my family who live in that area.

Used to be fun to go walk in the woods. Times have changed though and not for the better. To be safe these days requires one carry. The two leggers are a lot more mean, than the four leggers ever were, then and now.

Kentucky is a beautiful state & I love coming there to visit. FWIW we go to a Golden Corral in E-town & I have seen obvious muzzies there its the veiled Muslimahs who think they can bull their way around the place.

But if Kentuckians are like in my state they are armed to the teeth. That mosque in E-town wasn’t well planned, anyone who wants to can eyeball the place & plan accordingly if you get my drift.

Muzzies don’t own us yet I know in Nashville & Murfreesboro they think they do but there are too many “infidels” with too many guns to suit the `sons of Allah’.

Where I live, Omar & Achmed know to watch their step. You do know that the `holy’ Koran states that us “infidels” are forbidden from owning any kind of weapon.

;^)

My husband and I lived in Bardstown in the mid 1980s. Such a nice little town. It makes me sad to hear about this kind of violence there and the loss of this young man. May God be with his family, and may those responsible be quickly brought to justice.

Why is it nonsense? Are you saying dirty cops have never fragged a clean cop before.

If there is anyone who is most likely to know where and when this officer was likely to be in order to set up an ambush with road debris, it’s another cop.

Doing pretty good. Got a new job a few months back. Mon-Fri, 4am-1pm, so I'll be able to go back to school this fall.

I'd gone up to Cincinnati early Saturday morning with some friends, so I didn't hear about this until we got back. Pretty sad.

Well, ditto. It's just that as soon as I see the screen name 'Lurker' show up on a FR thread I know then that the seething foaming-at-the-mouth cop-haters have arrived. I was just making sure everyone else knows your true feelings and intentions, when making a comment on this particular type of posting.

Foaming at the mouth? The way I read it is that Lurker said he used to feel bad about situations like this (cops being killed) but now he doesn't.

I thought that a respectful manner in stating his admiration of cops had changed and inferred that it was to the ever-growing number of over-the-top, or foaming-at-the-mouth, if you will, behavior of cops across this country.

You're going to get anti-cop push back for good reason, brent13a. Our citizens have increasingly become afraid and intimidated by the LEO's we pay for.

When you call another FReeper (especially the Class of 98) bad names, you run the risk of outing yourself as a bootlicker, and I'm sure you only wish to defend police and the respect they need to earn (respect of police is not now immediately granted by the populace, it must be earned. This is part of the change Lurker referred to in his post).
