That idiot cost Papa John’s plenty. For a $5.00 investment in a tip, that customer will get rich. Racist fools like them should just climb back under their rocks. They should never work customer service for anyone because the least bit of pressure makes them pop off at the mouth since they have no self control. They are entitled to their opinions, but if they can’t keep them to themselves while representing a company, they need to work for their own selves. Then, when they get diarrhea of the mouth, the only ones suffering will be them.
I have to wonder about how this affects the Zimmerman trial.
This was a fluke, Wary. A private comment and it was even a clumsy compliment, but a cellphone mishap got it sent out. If I wasn’t hotwired to Kneejerk City (aka Hell) I’d have stated that isn’t Papa John policy and that everyone has been warned about it... then warn everyone to be careful, but keep the fellow on the delivery (maybe at some other Papa John location).
My phone went rogue (pocket dialed) app 9 times over a 4 hr
period one morning to two guys in my address book. One guy
is a distant cousin, a CEO of a large produce processing firm.
Rang him up 5 xs in one hour during an important budget
meeting in his corp conference room. The other guy is an old
high school pal who was teaching a college classroom of
prospective student (HS) teachers. Pissed ‘em both off for a bit.
I thought it funny.
It may have been an accident, or even a fluke, but not one bit of it was complimentary. Those comments coming out of the racist’s mouth cost Papa John’s money. That company will be paying through the nose trying to buy their goodwill back. The racist will either learn from this or continue suffer from his mistakes. If it were just him suffering it would not matter. But it is unfortunate that an entire company will have to pay for his antics. Bless his non existent mind.
I’d fire him in a heartbeat. There is no way any sane person would have him work with customers ever again. Because he does not have the mental capacity to handle the work.
I just got an international pocket dial the other day. Talk about an expensive mistake!
Why the delivery guy would bitch, or go on some racist rant makes no sense.
Maybe he was talking about some other customer, I don't know.
Not excusing it, just wondering about the circumstances.
For the record, the WORST tippers are rich white people in nice houses.
One lady said I could "keep the change" on a 17.74 order when she gave me $18.
I started digging in my pockets for her 26 cents.

And for the record, pizza guys have LONG memories, and we know who the stiffers are. As well as the good tippers.
Amazing how good tipper's pizzas go to the top of the pile.

a bit of a reputation. If that is the case, you might be getting
a pizza topping or two that you didn’t order.
Just kidding but it reminds me of a college story. Some friends
of mine on the football team worked at a pizza shop in
San Luis Obispo. Big Fred, an offensive lineman was making
pizzas one nite. A drunk customer in line to order was riding
Fred about being a slow fat ass. Fred was a cowboy type and
always had a dip of Copenhagen in his lip & 2 cans at least in
his hip pocket. Fred never said a word to the drunk but you
might imagine what he did with the the contents of one of those
cans of chew.
Saved an old lady's life a couple of years ago.
But he isn't going to get four an hour for the whole shift. See post 15.
That delivery guy sounds like he has a very low IQ, the type who will spend his entire life working at menial jobs (if at all). Those type of people are often racists. They pretend to be members of a “superior race” because they realize that they themselves are inferior. It’s a defense mechanism.
$1.50 to $2.00 is all they get, if they're on time.

I worked at a country club for 10 years. Found out real fast that the reason they are rich is they will break a fingernail picking a penny up off the bar.
The two pizza delivery guys really made themselves look foolish. OTOH, the customer demonstrated himself to be their superior in every way.
