It was in 2011 that the Obama administration issued a regulation that required gun dealers in California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas to notify the ATF of anyone who purchased at least 2 semi-automatic weapons in a 5-day period. A gun trade group as well as 2 gun dealers in those states sued the administration over this regulation, saying that they overstepped their legal authority.
The 3-judge panel ruled unanimously yesterday in favor of the ATF requirement, stating that the Gun Control Act of 1968 unambiguously authorizes the [ATFs] demand letter. And to concerns by the challengers that the requirement is creating a national gun registry, the judges said that since only 7% of gun dealers are being told to report a relatively small number of people to the feds, it can hardly be considered a national registry.

But what if Cartel S. Trawbuyer already has been explicitly approved to buy a truckload of rifles by the BATF? Do they want the paper trail or will the seller be ordered to sell without reporting anything.

I venture to say it was in the Reagan era. That is is you define ‘good news’ as I do.

How will “they” know whether you’ve purchased 2 semi-auto’s in the last 5 days?
ALL SALES MUST BE REPORTED, SO “THEY” KNOW WHEN YOU’VE ALREADY BOUGHT 2!!!!!!

Frankly, if I were in that business, I’d find some way to subvert this requirement somehow.

States need to pass laws to counter federal agency rules. On issues like 2d Amendment you learn real quick which side your state legislator is on

There is good news every day that goes our way. It’s found in John 3:16. It’s not our that when people reject it.

She is with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
A DC Appeals Court will never give a finding that will reduce power in Washington DC.
Wonder why they did not mention the Court that the 3 judges was with?

The Dem/libs have been engaging in a steady push to infringe on our right to keep and bear arms for decades. And this is how it has been working out for them in the last two decades...
- The percentage of Americans who own guns has increased.
- The percentage of Americans who believe we have a right to own guns has increased.
- The number of guns owned per gun owner has increased.
- The amount of ammunition possessed per gun owner has increased.
- Concealed carry laws have spread from state to state like wildfire.
- Castle Doctrine laws have been passed in numerous states that didn't have them.
- Stand Your Ground laws have been passed in more states than had them before.
- Gun rights lobbying groups have become a cottage industry unto themselves sprouting up like mushrooms after a rainstorm.
- In the worst economy since the Great Depression the firearms industry can't keep up with orders or expand fast enough.
- 65.4 Million Guns Bought Since Obama Took Office, 91% More Than Bush's First-Term Total
- 46,455 Background Checks For Gun Purchases Each Day Under Obama
And in the last two months... (Nov. 2012 and Dec. 2012)
And it continues...
MOLON LAVE! WE'LL BUY MILLIONS MORE. ;-)
