President Obama, speaking earlier today at conference on mental health at the White House:
"There are other people who are leading by example. My great friend, Patrick Kennedy, when he was running for reelection back in 2006, he could have avoided talking about his struggles with bipolar disorder and addiction. Let’s face it, he’s a Kennedy," said Obama.
After the audience stopped laughing, Obama continued, "He was -- his seat was pretty safe. Everybody loved him. And yet, Patrick used his experience as a way to connect and to lift up these issues, not hide from them."
And one day, a woman came up to Patrick at a senior center and told him she was afraid to tell her friends she was taking medication for a mental illness because she was worried they might treat her differently. She told Patrick, “You’re the only one who knows aside from my son.”

Yep. Just what I wrote #17. It a scam going on between drug addicts/alcoholics, shrinks and the drug companies. The shrink excuses the patients addictions on bipolar, writes him a scrip, the addict gets away with murder “Oh I’m bipolar” the shrink gets paid by the drug company for selling their BS chemicals and everybodys happy. It’s the biggest crock of BS going on today in the health industry, and they are making out like bandits.

And if you’ll notice Mel Gibson never used bipolar to excuse his behavior even though he is one of the rare people who truly has it. That tells me he takes a lot more responsibility for his behavior than this Kennedy puke or all these other Hollywood libs who use it to excuse their cocaine benders.

My “bipolar” sister-in-law is seeking a “bipolar” diagnosis for my 10 year old nephew and we’re so angry. He is also obese and it breaks my heart to see a 10 year old with breasts a fat flap over his pants. The only thing he has ever needed is to be told no, but it’s always been easier to indulge his temper tantrums. My sister-in-law is the same way. She’s never been told no. They have ruined a human being. While I believe thet ther are those who truly suffer from this terrible disorder, she and my nephew do not.
I would agree. You are simply waiting on a moment when a guy has a beer, and skips his medication at the wrong time. If you put anyone into a position of authority: mayor, city council, senator, president, etc....and they’ve got bipolar disorder....you are simply waiting for the episode to occur.

The biggest crock is the 80% of all school children who have "autism", "ADD", "ADHD", or whatever other "disability" the corrupt and incompetent government schools can come up with to excuse lazy parents from effectively raising and disciplining their own children. I wish I'd have bought stock in Ritalin 20 years ago. Talk about a money spigot.
